16. Rumors

This chapter is mainly from Josh's pov but i tried to get everyone's pov bc man i love that for me!

Rumors were Josh's worst enemy. He didn't understand why it was such a big deal that Debby was on good terms with him. He got an earful from his friends when it happened. Mainly Ashley gave him an earful. She had said that Tyler was special and if he fucked this up, she would personally beat his ass. Josh would never intentionally hurt Tyler so he didn't have to worry. Recently, Tyler had been extremely clingy. He always had to be touching Josh in some sort of way to know that he was still loved. Josh didn't mind though, he liked when Tyler kissed his cheek like ten times in a row or when he held his hand tightly.

"You've been awfully clingy?" Josh said.

"I'm sorry, i've never felt like this before. If i begin to be too much, please let me know. I'll stop immediately," Tyler said.

"No, I like it!" Josh said, grabbing Tyler's hand.

They were heading to the library to sit there to study. It was their first time actually studying together. Usually studying takes place at Tyler's place but then it would end up with Tyler sticking his hand down Josh's pants. It was great but they actually did need to study so, the library was the best place to be. As they walked in, they saw Jenna and Ashley sitting there sharing headphones as they wrote things in their journals. Josh and Tyler both sat down in front of them. Jenna was the first to look up and smile at both of them.

"So, you finally decided that studying is kind of more important than sucking on each other's face?" She said with a smirk.

Josh flicked her off and took out his phone and put on the playlist he made for both him and Tyler and put it on shuffle. Tyler smiled as he put on one earphone and got out his books. Josh got out both of their journals and started to get to work as soon as the book opened. They both had Calculus homework and Josh was fucking smart at math so he decided to help Tyler with it.

"You guys are actually working?" Ashley questioned, still looking down at her journal, writing.

"I know, I wanted Tyler to give me a blow job but he said we had to study first." Josh said with a smirk.

"Joshua!" Tyler said, hitting him on the head.

"Oh that's fucking gross!" Ashley said with a disgusted face.

Josh laughed and continued to work on his homework. After about fifteen minutes, Tyler reached around to his bag and got out a bag of chips big enough for the four of them. Josh looked up at him and smiled.

"You brought me snacks?" He said.

"Maybe?" Tyler smiled.

Josh grabbed the bag from Tyler and kissed his cheek. He opened the bag and began to eat them. It was a good thing Tyler loved bringing food with him. He turned the bag to both Jenna and Ashley. They both smiled and grabbed a handful of chips.

"Did you hear the rumors?" Ashley said while eating her chips.

"Ash.." Jenna warned.

"What rumors?" Tyler questioned.

Josh was fucked. Tyler hadn't heard any of the rumors being spread only because they decided to leave him out. Goddamn Ashley and her big fucking mouth.

"The ones about Debby and Josh, basically saying Josh is cheating on you with her.." Ashley said with a guilty look.

Josh was now completely fucked. Tyler turned to him and saw the look in his eyes. It was clear that his eyes started to fill up with tears. Josh didn't know what to say. He didn't want to tell him but he also couldn't keep him from the rumors spreading. Before he could say anything, the red headed girl that Josh had been trying to avoid, walked in and walked towards their table and took a seat next to Ashley. She smiled and took out her books. Josh decided that it was time for a pee break.

"I'll be back!" He said, rushing off to the bathrooms.

Ashley looked back at Debby who was smiling like nothing was happening. Jenna was holding her hand, making sure she wouldn't use it to punch her in the face. This isn't how things were supposed to go. Tyler sat there quietly and worked on his homework.

"There are plenty of other tables, why are you sitting at this one?" She asked.

Debby showed a sickening smiled and put her pencil down, "To get Josh back of course." She then turned to Tyler and smiled sweetly but sickening, "He's going to get tired of you. He gets bored fast and you aren't satisfying his needs. He's going to come back to me and you'll just be a distant memory just like his past relationships." she said.

Tyler immediately got up from his chair, put everything in his bag and run out of the school quickly. Ashley turned to Debby and punched her in the nose. Her and Jenna got their things and left immediately. Finally Josh came back to the library and caught Jenna and Ashley in time before they left.

"Where are you going? Where's Tyler?" he asked.

"Probably halfway gone by now. Your ex, is a fucking bitch so i punched the fuck out of her." Ashley said before pushing him out of the way.

Jenna gave him a sad smile and handed him his things. She left right behind Ashley, leaving Josh confused about what happened. He called Tyler but there was no answer. He decided to give him a couple of hours of space to let him calm down before he went over to his house.

Josh got to Tyler's house around ten pm. No one was home except the light glowing from Tyler's room. He got off his bike and climbed up to his window. He peaked in and saw no one in there. He opened the window and jumped into his bedroom, looking around. He wasn't in his restroom or downstairs. Josh came back up stairs and decided to climb out of his window.

Before he jumped down, he heard small sniffles and soft sobbing from the rooftop. Josh climbed onto the roof and saw Tyler. He was crying into his chest while listening to the sounds of the night. He walked over and sat next to him. He barely caught a glimpse of Tyler's face when he looked over to him. He watched Tyler wipe away his tears and sigh.

"I hope you know that it hurts when you hide things from me." Tyler said softly.

"Tyler.." Josh began.

"I also hope you know that it makes me feel horrible that you and Debby are friends. She said such mean things to me today. She told me that you were going to get bored of me because i'm not giving you what you wanted." Tyler said, tears streaming down his face.

Josh now felt extremely terrible. Seeing Tyler feel so defeated and hurt by just simple rumors and Debby's sadistic ways, made his heart break. He reached over and brought Tyler onto his lap. Tyler let him but, didn't dare to look at him. Josh picked up Tyler's chin, exposing his tear stained face and puffy wet eyes. Even when he was crying, Josh still thought Tyler was beautiful.

"Tyler Robert Joseph, you are my boyfriend. No one can ever take that away from me. I am completely infatuated with you. I love you so much." Josh said softly.

With out a word, Tyler brought his lips to Josh's. The kiss was desperate like it was to give him affirmation that he was loved. Josh let go of the kiss and brought them both down back to Tyler's room. From there, Josh closed the window and looked back to Tyler who was immediately clinging onto him, kissing him desperately. It was clear that Tyler needed some sort of affirmation and Josh was the only one he could give it to. Josh picked Tyler up and brought him to the bed, letting him sit on his lap and kiss him. Josh wanted to do so much more but he needed a yes. He needed consent.

"Tyler." Josh said sternly.

Tyler looked up at him and blushed a bit, "It's okay, i'm okay, i trust you."

Josh didn't need any other word from Tyler's mouth. He kissed along his jaw and made him whimper. He laid Tyler down on his back and put the sheets over them.
