Nikki's POV:
I can't believe I did that. I just made out with my husband in front of thousands of people. Not just people but wrestling fans with phones who have probably taken pictures of it. It's probably on Twitter as we speak and soon not only Brie, but John will know. Brie will tease and say I still have feelings for Kevin, which I don't. Well..yeah, no, I don't. Meanwhile John, will be really upset. Jesus. Wait to go, Nicole. I need to call John. I took out my phone.
John was on speed dial so I didn't have to dial his number, which is good because my hands are shaking from being so nervous. I walked through the parking lot and got inside my car with my phone pressed to my ear. As I slammed the door behind me, I mumbled, "Pick up, pick up." As if on cue, my Prince Charming answered, "Hello Nicole." Something about John's voice made me feel like a kid at Christmas time, despite the way he treats me. It brought this huge smile to my face. "Hey baby, whatcha doing?" "Currently? In the weight room. I have to train, train, train to keep up appearances since I'm the face of the company and all. Why? What's going on?" "Oh nothing I just.." How do I explain my call out of nowhere? Oh. That's right. "I just called to see what you wanted for dinner."
"Hm..maybe we could go out tonight. Mexican okay?" "That sounds perfect," I said. I turned to reach for my seatbelt to put on when I jumped at a knock on my window. My heart was racing as Kevin waved at me with a huge grin on his face and I just stared at him. I don't know what it is about Kevin. I'm not even sure how I'm attracted to him because he's not my type at all. Kevin is a very arrogant man while John is just confident. Kevin's not necessarily as fit as John but he trains just as hard anybody. It's really difficult explaining my husband, you'd just have to see him to get it. The point I'm making is that this man, who I have nothing in common with, thinks I'm the sun. That the whole world revolves around me. Then you have John, who only has occasional romantic moments. It's just strange and confusing. I was intrigued by Kevin's presence so when he disappeared so quickly, a part of me felt disappointed.
"I'm still here." "Do you want me to pick you up or meet you there?" John asked as Kevin reappeared on the other side and got in the passenger seat. He closed the door gently and looked at me. I mouthed to him, "What are you doing?" But his smile, that damn smile, had me weak at first sight. He didn't say anything because he knew he didn't have to. Shit. I looked away from him, shaking my head. Typical Kevin. I suddenly felt his hand on my knee and I held in my breath. I remembered John and quickly said, "No, no. I'll meet you there.." "Are you sure?" Kevin leaned and started pecking my lips repeatedly then proceeded to kiss my neck.
I shut my eyes tightly and answering John I said, "Mmmhm." Which didn't exactly sound like your typical mhm if you catch me. Lucky for me, John didn't catch onto my moan. "Where are you, anyway?" "M-my mother needed help with something and then we just started chatting. Listen, I have to go okay, sweetheart? Make yourself look hot tonight." "Hotter than usual?" I chuckled, trying to ignore the fact that Kevin's hand was creeping up my leg then said, "The hottest. Alright. Love you. Bye babes." I hung up and quickly moved Kevin's hand.
Kevin looked at me then whispered, inches away from my face, "Come on baby. It's been so long-" I closed my eyes and cut him off, "Kevin, are you always this drunk after matches?" "Pretty much." I opened my eyes meeting his baby blues, "Thats one of the main reasons I left you." "Nicole, I'm Canadian. I drink. A lot. Especially in celebration." "You lost though." "No," Kevin touched my cheek, leaning closer, "Flawless Nikki, I won. I got you." He traced his thumb across my lips and I looked away from him toward the ground. I swallowed hard still not looking at him, "Kevin, you're drunk. Do you need a ride?" "Absolutely." I turned to him glaring as he continued his smirk. He said, "I'm just kidding. Relax."
I glanced around. I cannot believe there's no one in this fucking parking lot to help me out here. "Nicole?" "Hm?" "I like this dress you're wearing." I started breathing heavy as his hand slid closer up my thigh. He was almost there. I placed my hand on top of his, "Kevin..please.." "I want you so bad, Nicole. You're my wife not his. Be with me, Nicole." "Kevin I..I can't. And I think we should stop kidding ourselves and get a divorce." He frowned then got off me. Kevin quickly opened the door angrily, and stormed out of the car. He's like a light switch.
....I'm gonna regret this. I panicked and leaned out the window calling his name, "Kevin!" He kept walking and I shouted his name again, "Kevin!" Still nothing. I swallowed and with a tingle down under I said, "I'll give you a ride!" Kevin stopped, finally, then slowly turned around. He had this curious look on his face and I licked my lips to signal that I was serious. He walked all the way back over to me and I leaned up so I can be face to face with him while still being in the car. He asked quietly, "Why?" "Because," I pulled him closer, "You won."
