Chapter Nine.

Nikki's POV:

"What the hell was that, John? You two went at it for hours. That's dangerous." "I never back down from a fight, Nicole. You know that. That's sorta my thing." I sighed. I was in an argument that I really could not win. If I hadn't been there, Kevin would've killed John. That's not an exaggeration either. Kevin's just that insane. "Hey," John wrapped his arms around me and I looked at him as he said, "I am fine. I just passed out from the exhaustion." "That package Piledriver nearly killed you," I whispered. Remembering the look in Kevin's eyes when he connected it was something you'd never forget. The impact of it all made me shiver. "Nearly," John nodded, "but it didn't." "I know and that's good because I mean," I looked in his eyes,"What would I do without you?" I pecked his lips then started to pull away but John pulled me closer.

I was so wrapped up in John that I hadn't realized there was someone standing just a few feet away from us. "I wish you two would just get a room already. Some of us are here to actually train." I pulled away and glared at Kevin who walked toward us. He walked between and got in John's face. I got really nervous because Kevin never really thinks before he speaks and that can cause a major disruption. I swallowed nervously, "Kevin-" "Nope," He held his hand out still looking at John, "Don't say it. I already know what's about to be said Nicole. I just wanna see what it is I'm up against here." "What exactly do you have against me, Kevin?" John asked.

I watched my husband smile in a sly way that I knew a little too well and I watched him say,"You have something that belongs to me. I want it back now. Yeah it was cute and all for awhile but now your services are no longer needed." "Kevin-" I started but he held his hands up continuing, "It's time you told him about us. I don't know how much longer I can hold this in." No, no, no. Not here. "I know about your crush, Steen. I'm fully aware." John stood up.
That's when Kevin did it. What Kevin always does. Opened his mouth, held his hand up showing John his wedding band and said, "Does this look like a crush to you, Johnathan?" "Kevin! Stop it!" I yelled. It was too late though. John stared at his hand then glanced between us, "What.." Kevin smirked but said nothing. Of course. He chooses now to be speechless.

I felt helpless because I could yell and scream at Kevin but that would give John the opportunity to leave. I couldn't let him. Since Kevin wouldn't answer me, I looked at John. "Hey..come on, let's go home and talk about this." I grabbed John's hand but he pulled it away and looked at me. My heart broke when he pulled away from me and I looked back at him. I guess that pissed Kevin off, us looking at each other, because he shoved him. John isn't going to fight back. It's not in his nature to fight back but Kevin? Kevin will fight anytime, anywhere, anyone. He has a really strong personality.

I was really hoping John would actually fight back this time and step outside of who he is. But he did not. He simply just kept his eyes on the floor, turned around, and walked away. I watched him walk away sadly as Kevin said, "He's such a pussy."

Before I knew what I was doing, I turned around quickly and slapped him as hard as I could. Kevin stumbled back a little then held his cheek, staring at me in shock. I narrowed my eyes and glared at him, "God Kevin, you ruin everything! I wish you would've just stayed away!" Kevin continued to stare at me only this time, he had a look of heartbreak on his face. "Ugh!" I marched off leaving him standing there and quickly went after John.

The man who should be my husband.
