Jade~
I just can't help but think about what happened at the theme park. I'm swallowed by guilt, by one foolish moment. I couldn't control myself, enjoying the fact that she was laughing. She begged me to stop, but I couldn't. For some reason, my body took over.
I kissed her.
How could I disrespect her like that? I knew she had a boyfriend, yet I did what I did, even though I said we were just friends. From across the room, my phone violently beats the floor. I haven't checked my messages for a while now. I've been ignoring dozens of calls from Dean throughout this week. Yes, I've been distant. I even went as far as writing my examinations in private to avoid awkward confrontations with her. It wasn't an easy feat, but I seemed to convince the principal that my dad was in critical condition.
With time as my only friend, I finished my art, these black walls, now filled with monsters and destroyed buildings. My phone buzzed again, disrupting my train of thought. Annoyed, I crossed the room to fetch it before checking its content.
J.D, my man, where are you? I'm waiting for you. I don't care if you an hour late be here. I need your help. - Dean
Hey, it's me. I'm sorry I punched you last Wednesday, not to mention the fact that I kicked you afterward. Anyway, beat yourself up for what happened in the walking-dead attraction. Besides, whatever happened by the dead should stay dead ;) -Robyn.
Argh, I meant don't beat yourself up for what happened, silly me. You should come to school though. -Robyn
It's not that care or something. -Robyn
I'm rambling again. I'm your best friend. I should care and miss you... right? it's been a week. How long are you going to stay locked in your house? -Robyn
Cute. Who can hold back a smile when you have idiots for friends? Maybe I'll go to school tomorrow. Judging from the texts, she doesn't seem awkward about it. My phone vibrates yet again.
Idiot! Don't stress a girl out like that-Dean
I stared at Dean's message with amusement, not able to stop myself from replying.
I'm sorry for stressing you out, my lady ;) -Jade.
He speaks! I'm shocked. I'm not a lady! - Dean.
Wrong, I'm texting, and you sent me a message saying don't stress "a girl out" - Jade.
I meant Robyn, stuuupid :| -Dean.
Welcome back, buddy. Now get your ass to school. It's 9 you can make it. -Dean
See what I mean by idiots for friends. Without delay, I quickly rushed to the shower. I'm pretty sure that I'm superman because I got done in under a minute. I'm kidding, but it was fast.
I ran until I reached the front gate of Beverly Hills High school. School, oh how I still hate how dreadful you look. I hadn't complained about school in a while for some odd reason. I walk into the class with half a smile. Dean jumps up and tackles me down." You actually came!"
"Why, of course, I had to come. I couldn't stress a girl... I mean you out like that," I smile widely.
"you know what? Go back home! I regret calling you here," Dean scoffed while pinching the bridge of his nose.
"It's too late next time, be careful who you text what to."
My head slowly turned to the laughter I was hearing. It was one laugh I'll recognise anywhere. My eyes meet Robyn's, "Hi Princess, " I said with a sheepish smile. Last week's events flashed through my eyes. Shit.
