Jade~

It's afternoon, and I'm trying to fall asleep, don't judge me. I'm tired and haven't been sleeping well. That was my plan before Dean spoiled it, "Get up, lazy. Let's go out."

"Go to hell!" I yelled through the pillow as he jumped on me, pinning me down and tickles me, well tortures me. "Get off. I'm going to kill you!"

"Not with that attitude," he teased. I could already sense that he was laughing at my pain. When I finally broke free, he made a run for it. I grabbed my pillow and threw him. "At least you awake now," Dean laughed, hiding in my bathroom.

"I'm so going to get you back," I muttered as Dean peeped through the small opening of the bathroom door.

"There's a concert," Dean said, staring at me with sympathy because It's not me to sit alone and depressed in no mood to go out and have fun. Oh wait, that is me, I forgot. "Jade, I can't stand to see you like this. It has been a month. Come, I don't care how much you hate me, you coming to this concert," Dean demanded, dragging me to the new car that his dad bought for him. I'm happy for him, really am, but my face doesn't have any energy to show.

"I'm beginning to hate you already. I don't think it can get worse than that," I dreadfully said.

Almost an hour later. Guess I was wrong. It can get worse than that. I'm stuck in the same club that got me drunk. I gaze at Dean scornfully. Dean leaves me at the table with few vodka shots to the dance floor and tells me to enjoy myself. I try before some girl with a shocking red dress walks up to me. She starts scanning my body from head to toe. She's staring so hard that I feel like I'm naked. She twirled her magma red hair playfully as she studied me with her blue eyes, tentatively approaching me before speaking, " is that you, Jade... Jade Heart. I mean Jade Donovan?"

It took less than a minute to recall her. She was the only one who called me Jade Heart, mom's maiden name. Back in California. We were young. We knew each other in those bad times when dad was still around. Her parents thought me and her would someday get married. But that was just bound to end nothing lasts forever. "Yes?"

"Oh, god, how long has it been? You probably forgot about me. I'm Felicia... Jade, it's you, right? "

I scratched the back of my head as I smiled. "Yep, it's me. Nice to see you after such a long time."

Without a beat, she hopped into my arms and hugged me desperately, "I really missed you."

I took a shot, not fully aware that I'm drinking it. I was in an awkward situation and was hoping that Dean pulls me out. Dean comes to the table to take a shot. I smile, feeling relieved. My great escape, but Dean took a look at the girl who was still clinging onto me, giving us a thumbs-up before turning the opposite direction, ditching me. I hate him.

" So what brings you here?" Felicia asked, letting me go, at last.

"the devil," I muttered under my breath.

"excuse me?"

"My friend brought me here," I drawled.

She smiled, "he must be a cool friend. "

"yeah, one hell of a friend, " I rolled my eyes as she giggled.

"Dance with me, " she demanded. Another shot was taken before Felicia lead me to the dance floor. We slowed dance till the music changed. Occasionally we'd head back to the booth and drink. When it was a good song, she'd pull me to dance. I'd forgotten how many drinks I had, but my jello legs told me I had one too many.

Felicia helped me back to the table as I struggled to walk straight yet ordered us more drinks. " Do you have a special girl in your life?" she asked casually.
