Unpredictable P'Kit

Ming's POV

I was sad that P'Kit refused to come with me. Will he ever understand how I feel about him? Will he ever like me back? Maybe he hates me because when P'Pha told him to go with me, he immediately said 'no'. I felt heartbroken but atleast I got to see his face, no matter he likes me or not, I will always like him. Suddenly i felt a slight touch on my shoulder and someone called my name, I looked up and saw P'Kit standing right infront of me, I got startled and blurted out," P' "
and looked at him confused " You haven't left yet?" said P'Kit. I said," I was just about to leave P'. Are u going somewhere P'Kit?" P'Kit seemed confused, he looked down and said," I..uh,...ya, I was hungry so I was going to eat." Hearing this I remembered I haven't eaten all day, I thought earlier that I would have dinner with P'Kit as I knew he normally eats his dinner late but I was refused one time earlier so there was no way he would agree this time as well so I just nodded my head and said," Well enjoy your dinner P'." Saying this I turned around and was going to get in my car when suddenly someone grabbed my hand. It was P'Kit, I was surprised, then he said," I,.. uh ,.. I don't like eating alone. Will you join me for dinner?" I was shocked, P'Kit has never invited me for anything, it was always me dragging him to come with me. I could feel a smile spreading on my face and I said yes immediately.

P'Kit's POV

I was hoping that Ming would say he would join me when I said that I was going to have my dinner but he didn't and started to leave, what has happened to him today, is he really that upset because of my refusal earlier, I couldn't just let him go , what should I do, so I just grabbed his hand and saw his surprised look, shit,... what should I say now, why is this so fucking difficult. Finally I gathered some courage and invited him to have dinner with me. I couldn't believe I just did that, I looked down not being able to look at him directly, why is he not answering? Is he going to say no? and amidst these thoughts I heard him say ," Yes P'". I got relieved the instant I heard him, I looked up and he said," Get in the car P' where should we go?"
"Hey, even I have a car, remember?" I said. " C'mon P' we are going to have dinner together so what is wrong going in the same car. Let's go na P' l am starving, I haven't had anything all day." He hadn't had anything all day and when I said I was going for my dinner he didn't ask to tag along, he must have been really upset ," Why didn't you have anything all day? You have exams coming soon and you have to stay healthy. You are a fool, seriously." Saying this I got into his car " P' it's just that I didn't get the time, now tell me where should we go?" I said," Our usual place." I saw a big smile stretch on his face, it was the restaurant where he always took me. The first time being when I met him at the gym and my car didn't start when I was leaving so Ming called for the service people and he brought me to this restaurant while my car was being fixed, second time I came here with him right after he was entitled the moon of the campus and he told me that he wanted this place to be our usual place and since then it really did become our usual place. As I looked at him I could still see a trace of smile, the dullness I saw earlier was no longer there though he did seem a lil tired. But his tiredness didn't compromise his handsomeness, his hair still neat and perfect like it has just been done, his side profile showing off his perfect nose. "P'Kit , what happened?" I quickly looked away and said," nothing". Soon we reached the restaurant and as soon as we sat on our table, the waitress came and started flirting with Ming " What would you people like to order kha...?" she said in her sweetest voice, not once lifting her eyes from Ming then she started playing with her hair , she was so close to him, like literally leaning over him, Ming looked at me and said,"P'Kit what would you like to have?" I ordered the usual and so did Ming, the waitress left after taking the orders. All of a sudden Ming asked me a wierd question," P'Kit, do you hate me?" I don't know why he asked me this question but I can see the sadness in his eyes, " Why do you think I would hate you?" Ming looked at me and said," P', I know I bother you a lot and always get on your nerves, but I want you to know that I don't do that to annoy you, I just do that so I can be close to you but if it bothers you a lot then I will stop P'." I didn't know what to answer , I actually did like his mischievousness but sometimes he can be very irritating, if I say I have no problem then he will tease me more and if I say that I don't like it then it would be rude as well as a lie. "Here are your food kha.... plz enjoy your meal kha...." For the first time I felt happy on this flirty waitress's arrival. I thanked her and started having my food, Ming was still looking at me but I ignored him and kept eating without uttering a word. Ming didn't touch his food and kept staring at me, I looked at him ," Hey, why aren't you having your food? Eat it before it gets cold, you idiot." He pushed his food aside and said," I am not hungry anymore P'. I will wait in the car for you. I will drop you when you are finished" Saying this he stood up and went away before I could say anything. I knew this was my fault he honestly told me his feelings and I kept quiet, not uttering a word. Why am I like this? Why can't I express my feelings like him? Then I remembered he hasn't eaten anything all day, I stood up and told the waitress to pack his food and as I was about to pay, the waitress said that Ming already paid for the food. I slowly approached towards the car, Ming was again lost in his own world, I opened the door and sat beside him" Are you done P'? I will drop you at your condo then." I gave him the packed food and said," Have your food first" " I told you I am not hungry P'" said Ming. I took his hand and put the packet in his hand ," You said you haven't had anything all day , how is it that you are still not hungry. C'mon eat it, there is a small spoon too in there. Have your food now." He opened the packet and took a few bites then kept it aside and started driving. None of us said anything during the whole journey, as the car stopped near my building I looked at him and said," I don't hate you Ming but that doesn't mean I like your teasings. Hate is such a strong word to describe dislike." Ming looked at me with tearful eyes," So you don't like me at all P'..... uh.. it's ok P'. I won't bother you again. Goodnight na P'" What??? Oh! shit he misunderstood me, I was just about to tell him that he got it wrong when his phone started ringing, he picked it and said," P' I gotta take this. You can go ahead."
