Whosoever therefore shall be ashamed of me and of my words in this adulterous and sinful generation; of him also shall the Son of man be ashamed, when he comes in the glory of his Father with the holy angels.
Mark 8:38
A/N
Sometimes we are ashamed of being associated with God. We hide our belief, we hide our identity as a child of God and as a believer of the Lord Jesus Christ. That is because we are ashamed, or afraid we might be bullied. But God expects us not to be ashamed of Him and his words in the bible. He wants us to share his words and reach those who are lost.
I know it's hard to share especially to those who knew us. I have been there. Because of sharing God's words, I am sometimes bullied, persecuted, insulted and once received threat.
Sometimes it is myself saying I am not perfect so why would I talk about God. I am ashamed I may not represent him well.
But nevertheless, it is His will that shall be done, so He give me the grace not to take the bullies seriously and lend me His strength to go on with courage.
I tell this to myself oftentimes, "If I say I love Him, then why should I be ashamed of Him?"
