Submit yourselves
therefore to God.
Resist the devil, and
he will flee from you.Draw near to God, and
he will draw near to you.
Cleanse your hands,
you sinners;
and purify your hearts,
you double minded.Be afflicted, and
mourn, and weep:
let your laughter be
turned to mourning, and
your joy to heaviness.Humble yourselves
in the sight of the Lord,
and he shall lift you up.James 4:7-10

Do you commit mistakes or sins and never do it again when you know it's wrong?Or do you still do it again despite knowing it's wrong?
Sometimes I am the latter than the former. And it's my own flesh or sometimes the devil who entices me to do things that I shouldn't do and not to do the things that I should do.
The bible reminds us for this case we have to resist the devil by submitting ourselves to God.
And that submission requires us to consciously do the following:
1. Draw ourselves near to God.
2. Cleanse our hands.
3. Purify our hearts.
4. Be afflicted and mourn for our sins.
5. Humble ourselves and ask God for forgiveness and deliverance.
I quote Bea Alonzo "If you commit the same mistake twice, it's no longer a mistake, it's a choice."
I think she's right. I wasn't committing a mistake but making a choice.
I need your prayers if you have time. I don't want to make a wrong choice and do the things that I shouldn't.
