I almost dropped the stuff I was holding, but, upon remembering it, readjusted and walked quickly down the hall. I would have to put this stuff where need be and find a way out to tell the Doctor.

I then did as I was told, found the back door and tried to stealthily rush back to the hotel. I did not find him there, but on the way back, near a well.

"So?" He asked as I approached.

I was slightly out of breath from running, and was of course still shocked so I took a moment to reply. When I did, I said,

"It's Kratos. They're trying to summon Kratos."

"Oh no.." He said.

It made complete sense. Kratos was the Greek god of power. The man I met mentioned that he would not give up their opportunity. I remembered that Kratos was an attendant to Zeus, the king of the gods, so the opportunity they must be giving him was to take over the throne. One thing I did not understand was how. And why would they do that for him? Surely they would like to defend the gods, the throne. Unless...they wanted the throne, the control for themselves.

"We have to stop them!" I exclaimed.

"Of course. So, Kratos, what can overpower the god of power?" The Doctor said.

I thought for a bit.

"Would...I mean it's a bit of a long shot but could we, trick him?" I asked.

"Trick him?"

"Yeah. It's like everyone says. Brains over brawn. Neither of us would be able to overpower him physically so the only way we can is if we do it mentally."

"That's brilliant. I should have thought of that."

I smile shyly. "Thank you."

"You're welcome. To work then."

I quickly led him to the hideout. I was worried, it was almost completely dark and the ritual would be starting any minute. But, luckily, we had good timing and arrived before it started. The Doctor waited in a storage closet in the room and I tried to look as if I had been there the entire time. Then people started to enter and form a circle around the room, clad in cloaks and each carrying an essential item that would be used as sacrifice or some other summoning implement. The ritual began.

Each person, including me, stepped up and individually placed their item in a stone bowl on a pedestal in the middle of the room. Then the leader came forward and threw a green liquid over and into the bowl. It set the items on fire. He spoke.

"We gather here at this time to appeal to the Great God Kratos. The forgotten god of power has been for far too long under the control of the king Zeus. He is unworthy of such a place, and deserves to have the throne for himself. We have gathered offerings to summon him, in the hopes that we can give him ideas on how to obtain it. We are forever worshipping him and his glorious power. All hail Kratos!"

"All hail Kratos! All hail Kratos!" A chorus of chants echoed around the room.

And then... WOOSH! The fire blared, and everyone looked away. When the light had dyed down, we all looked back, and there, standing in front of the pedestal, was Kratos himself.

He was a big man, with muscles and a curly beard. He had a head of black curls and was wearing a long loincloth and a bit of chest-plate like armour. He had his arms crossed and was scowling a bit but something in his eyes told me he was intrigued.

"You have summoned me." He said.

The leader hastily bowed as he replied, "Oh great Kratos, we have heard of your magnificence and we wish to offer you a proposition."
