And here we are! The last chapter of Wishing For Adventure! Now, I'm aware that not many people are reading it, but still, I am glad that even if for very few, I have given you some entertainment. So thank you, for staying with me for this long. Enjoy!

"Ugh, where am I?" I ask, drowsily.

I had been sleeping, I guessed. Because when I open my eyes, all I see is white until my eyes adjust. I blink a few times and look around me. I'm in an office. It has white walls and navy carpet, with a light wooden desk, a standard chair that I'm sitting in, and a black wheel chair on the other side. In that chair is a man. He must not be that much older than me. He has light skin, short brown hair and a bit of a beard. He's wearing a suit, and generally looks quite professional.

"I have got to stop doing that." I remark.

"Oh good, you're awake. Now, your name is?" He asks.

"Brooklyn. Brooklyn Turner."

"Ah yes, right here." He crosses off something on a list, presumably my name.

"Excuse me," I start.

"But what am I doing here? Heck, where am I?"

"You don't remember?" He asks.

"No, I- ARGHHHHHH."

I am overcome with a splitting headache. And that's not all, I seem to be going into a dream.

~FLASHBACK~

"One trip. That's all you get." The Doctor says.

I am currently standing in the TARDIS, as he has asked me to come with him, to repay me for saving some passengers onboard the Orient Express.

"You're the one who asked me." I point out.

"But how could I say no?" I smile.

"Great,"

The doors snap shut.

"Where do you want to go?" He says.

"Well...I've always loved the past, and I never had much interest in the future anyway."

"As to what time period, I have no idea."

"You're an archaeologist right?" He asks.

"Indeed I am."

"I have just the thing. Hold on." He pushes some buttons and pulls some levers and off we go, swirling into the past.

Once we land, I step outside. And low and behold- Greece. Ancient Greece. The mythology nerd in me is very excited.

"Oh my lord, Doctor. Thank you." I say, turning around to face him.

"You're welcome, now why don't you go down the right corridor, find the closet and change into something more appropriate? Try to be quick, we don't want to miss the play."

To say that I'm excited is an understatement.

~END~

"Woah." I say, as I snap out of it.

"Do you remember now?" The man at the desk asks.

"Partly. I remember what I was doing, before, but I still don't understand how-"

I am cut off as I once again enter a dream of sorts.

~FLASHBACK~

When I come back out, I'm wearing a long, loose, deep green dress with a golden rope belt around the middle. My hair is pulled into a low up do.

"Ah, you look lovely. The theatre is this way.." He strides off down the street, making sure I'm not too far behind him.

Just as we reach the theatre's entrance...

BAM!

An explosion happens nearby. The ground shakes beneath my feet, and I smell the smoke from where I am standing. When I look towards the sound, I see the red, blazing fire, and the ash that billows from the explosion to my feet.

"The play can wait. Come on!"

The Doctor runs towards where the explosion was, and I have to run after him, holding my dress up so I don't trip. Typical. He's always running, especially towards danger.
We come to a halt in front of a burning building, or what was a burning building. It's now only smoking, and many citizens stand around with water vases. They must have put it out. The building is destroyed nonetheless. Not far from where we are, a man and a woman stand, most likely the owners of the house. The man is tall and muscular, with short, curly, black hair and red-brown eyes. The woman is the complete opposite, which makes for an interesting sight to see them together. She is beautiful; her long, blonde, wavy hair cascading down her back and her eyes of the most piercing brown. The Doctor walks up to them.

"Excuse me," He says.

"What exactly happened here?"

"Our house exploded is what's happened." The man replies angrily.

"Was anyone hurt?" I ask.

"No.."

"But it was no accident." He adds.

"What's that suppose to mean?" The Doctor asks.

It was then that the woman spoke up.

"It's..my ex-husband. He found out I was with someone, and he's been jealous ever since."

"Your ex exploded your house?!" I exclaim.

"He must not be the recovering type."

"Well, as long as you're both alright, we better get going." The Doctor says.

He starts to walk away, and as I catch up to him I say,

"They seem like an interesting couple."

"Indeed." He says.

I chuckle.

"They kind of remind me of Ares and Aphrodite."

"Yes."

I look over to him.

"You don't think that they're.."

"Actually gods? No, of course not, that would be ridiculous." He replies.

"But they could be aliens. Or rather,"

He stops to face me.

"A race of aliens who developed the technology to travel to Earth in it's youth. Of course, human's haven't formed the intelligence to realise what they are, so they make do. They worship them as gods. As creators of the world around them."

"But, that would mean that the explosion was set off by..Hephaestus! Aphrodite's husband. It goes against what she said but you're not just going to admit your affair to total strangers!" I say.

"Of course. But remember Brooklyn, we have no idea if that's what they are, or who they are even."

"Right.." I say, slightly disappointed.

"Don't be too sad, we've still got the play, and we can have a look around after. If we leave now we can still catch it."

And so off we go to see the play. It's quite good, despite being a very early production. When the play ends and the lead is left standing in despair, I notice his appearance. Long, flowing blond hair and a body which some women would call nice. A spitting image of Apollo. And fitting too, being in a play and all. Ancient Greece really is something.
