"Good things takes time."
-
Min Keira

"Yohan-ah! Congratulations!"

I told him the moment he went down from the stage. Today is their graduation day and ofcourse, I can't miss it.

"Thank you, Keira. I was actually hoping that you'll comeback before my graduation and you just did!"

Yohan said as he hugged me. He looks so happy and I can see it in his face. His lips and his eyes are smiling, he's laughing and he's very bright.

"Thank you for coming back, Kei. Yohan wasn't like that for a long time. Believe me or not, this is the first time he laughed and smiled like that since the accident happened." Wooseok approched me.

I looked at Yohan. He's talking to his classmates and Wooseok is actually telling the truth. He looks genuinely happy. And seeing him like that makes me happy too.

"I may have took a long time before I came back but I already explained it to Yohan and he understood. Trust me, I wanted to go home right away but things sort of happened."

"What happened anyways?" Wooseok asked.

Oh, I forgot I haven't told them about it yet. Only Yohan knows the real reason by now.

"Hmm, well. You see, when I fully recovered, Dad wanted to make it up to me. He wanted to spend more time with me, he wanted to spend more time with Keiko which is ofcourse, not okay with his new wife."

"They had a massive argument about us. Her wife wanted us to leave and go back here in Korea right away but Dad just won't allow us."

"I guess she really snapped. She vanished all of a sudden leaving us with all the hospital bills and such. We thought that she'll pay for everything but no, she ran away. What are we expecting anyways? Up until now, I still can't believe how Keiko and Mom trusted that woman regarding my situation. I guess they're really that desperate to make me recover quickly and I can't blame them."

"That's what really happened. That woman left us and what's worst is that, she took dad with her. We just woke up one day, they're nowhere to be found."

"I am sorry to hear that, Keira. But you should have atleast told us. We are always open to help you and you know that."

"It's not that easy, Wooseok. Mom was histerical. We needed to take care of her that time as me and keiko worked. We needed to work to pay for those bills and for me to continue studying."

"I didn't want to bother you all and besides, I really don't have much time. At morning, I'm at school. After my classes, I go straight to my afternoon shift, then to my night shift. I barely have a time for my own. That time, I just wanted to go home."

"We don't have mobile phones and we didn't even planned to buy one because to be honest, we have to prioritize our needs. Me and Keiko worked hard for our necessities and for our fare so we can go back here in Korea."

"And finally, after quite some time. Two years I think? We managed to save up for everything. We waited for my graduation day and went back here immediately."

Remembering all those hardships I had to face in USA makes me angry. That woman doesn't have a conscience. They just left us like that. In so much debt and even without a proper accommodation.

"It must have been hard for you, Kei. I'm just glad that you're finally here. We can make up for the lost time we're away from each other." Wooseok said as he ruffled my hair.
