AN:- Helloooo allll! I'm back with another short story for you all!
As I've previously clarified before on my message board, this OneShot- or however many chapters it expands into, is a completely different plot than anything I've ever written before and is not linked to any of my other previous works whatsoever.
In this particular storyline JongHyun is not famous nor is he a part of SHINee. He's a regular guy in this plot and I hope you all enjoy reading this just as much as I did writing it!
Shivering I quickly hurried inside the warm ambiance of the cosy looking cafe that I had been fortunate enough to spot just as the clouds had unleashed a heavy barrage of rain down upon us all. A few other people that had been passing by had also followed my lead and briskly walked into the cafe after me, all of us bringing inside the coffee house with us a trail of cold and colourless droplets that splattered noisily on the previously pristine marble floor.
My feet immediately lead me to be stood furthest away from the crowd that had already hoarded around the barista, ordering their individual choice of warm beverage for this unplanned onslaught of chilly weather that had taken us all so suddenly by surprise.
Frowning, I stood by the glass window staring out at the pouring streets, my open freshly dyed silver hair that had just seconds ago been so majestically volumised now lying limp around my soppy rain soaked shoulders. Biting my lower lip worriedly I prayed with all my might that the rain would subside soon or else I would have a heck of a lot of explaining to do about my tardiness.
"Of all days we had to have a storm, it just had to be today didn't it!" I muttered crossly under my breath, impatiently tapping my foot against the tiles of the cafe's floor.
My phone rang with a message notification and I looked down at it my face paling slightly at the person who was pinging me so frantically.
-where are u??- 1:30 pm
I ignored the message, worriedly nibbling on my parted lower lip at the frantic excuse I was going to be forced to wring up the second we actually came to face.
-it's been 30 mins now! where are u?- 1:37 pm
"Fuck, fuck, fuck!" My gnawing became moire frantic at the message after message onslaught I was being rung out with.
-I'm not waiting any longer. Fuck the arrangement! Ur so dead when u get back!- 1:46 pm
Groaning I ran a hand through my messy wet hair, feeling my heart sink to the soles of my feet. All the while my teeth furiously worried my plump bottom lip at the mess I was entangled in. Of all days that it could have stormed it had to be today, the one day that I by fate left the house for once and that too to indulge in myself.
I was a cursed shit...
Nothing ever went right for me...
Maybe it was true...
Maybe I was a cursed soul... retched to forever be wrong and always the one to mess everything up...
I let loose a deeply rooted sigh from my puffed out lips, looking over the messages again and again with a weird franticness. My frantic movements deciphered into fear and then irritancy and then fear again, the whiplash of my own feelings disturbingly turbulent.
"What the hell do I do?!"
I looked down at my phone in frustration, angrily glaring at the illuminated screen that flashed with the messages of my impending doom. I wanted to scream out in frustration but pivoted fear kept me rooted to place, immobile to even release a single shriek from my chapped lips.
"Oh fuck it all to hell!" My fists clenched tighter with fake courage, the rings on my digits rubbing against the bare material of my phone with a horrible screeching sound.
"What the hell should I do now?!" Biting my lower lip I looked helplessly outside the clear glass window at the cascade of rain that littered from the dark and gloomily grey skies.
All my bravery seemed to evaporate the longer I stood there looking like a drowned rat. The weather perfectly resonated with my shitty mood and I barely held in the tears that wanted to leak out my eyes and onto the harsh planes of my face like a riveting stream of depression.
Everything was so helpless so why the hell did I even bother trying anymore...?
"What should I do?" My hands wrung together as I kept on peering out anxiously at the steadily large downfall of rain. "Oh God, what should I do? What should I do?!"
"I'd suggest trying the double chocolate chip deluxe frappe."
A sweet voice sounded from by my side making me look back in ire at who was choosing to bother me at such a vexed and fearful moment in my life. Whoever it was, best start writing their will because I was so going to slaughter them like a lamb on a cheat meal. Even when I was so deathly scared of the state I was going to be in when I got home, my irritancy was still high and more so when I was disturbed when I was in one of my melancholy bipolar type moods.
This person was so dead!
