AN:- Whhheerrreeeee's he taking his special lady?!? 😏🧐

"Huh?" I did a double take, small brownie crumbs still on my upper lip. "Take me somewhere? Where? Why? What?"

"Just somewhere..." He mumbled vaguely.

"Where?" Taemin questioned, leaning on his elbows to look curiously up at his Hyung.

"Somewhere- still here in this mall so don't worry." He waved his hand around lightly, indicating to nowhere in particular.

"And you remembered just now?" Kibum raised a single brow upward.

JongHyun nodded, not really looking at Kibum properly. My eyes furrowed in surprise at his unexpectedly weird chilly nature. He was such a ball of sunshine with everyone, so what was wrong with him right now...?!

"Yes." He was blunt and ired as he responded. "I guess I just did remember now that I needed her opinion on something."

"Her opinion, huh?" Kibum smirked knowingly at JongHyun who gazed back at him totally undeterred by the smug look he was throwing his way.

"Yes." He replied monotonously again.

Kibum, however, seemed unfazed at his lack of responsiveness and with a cheeky smirk on his face continued to press the weirdly unenthusiastic male, stood to my right.

"Why do you especially want TaeHee's opinion?" He questioned his thoughts in such a way that I squirmed but JongHyun seemed calm- really calm actually and not bothered in the slightest by his insinuations.

"Yaah." I weakly interjected. "What you trying to say Grinch?"

"That your choice sucks worse than dog shit."

I flipped him off, scowling heavily. "It was one wrong gift decision- ONE!"

He raised a brow. "It was the WORST decision you ever made Trouble."

I gave him a dirty look. "It wasn't even for you so I don't know why you're still crying over it."

He sniggered. "Just know that if it had been for me, then I would have thrown it back in your face that very second you gave it and made you go ba-"

"So I'm taking her away." JongHyun loudly interceeded. "That's okay with everyone?"

"Mate are you sure you wanna risk it with this one?" Kibum snidely snickered at me, aggravating me further.

"YAAH!"

JongHyun shrugged as he nodded. "I need to buy a gift for a special female friend of mine and I think TaeHee would be able to help me the best with deciding on the perfect gift for her."

"Ah I see, I see." Kibum took a long sip as he smirked into his mug, peering with twinkling eyes at me. "Special female friend, eh?"

I, in turn, gave Kibum a confused look, being more than a little taken aback at JongHyun's sudden request.

Which special female friend did he suddenly feel the need to buy a present for, and that too with my opinion?!

My thoughts were admittedly full of suspicion and a slight ire that I had not felt in a long time. It was such a heavy and uncomfortable feeling that even I myself was very surprised at how possessive I was feeling and it made me a little disappointed with myself, as I had always considered myself the liberal and open-minded type of woman, who didn't place unnecessary jealous restrictions, on anyone- be it relationship or friendship wise.

So... what was this heavy foreboding and why was it so pressing on me...?!?

JongHyun nodded again at Kibum's question snapping me out my thoughts, slightly tilting his head towards Kibum as additional regard in response. A small frown had placed on my lips and no matter how hard I tried to neutralize it, it just came back a few seconds later, and even more pronounced than before.

"Yeah she's a pretty good friend of mine and her and TaeHee are alike in many ways that I figured she'd have the best shot at guiding me on the perfect gift for her."

"Well, Taemin." Kibum drawled, looking with mischevious eyes at my brother. "I guess this way I can show you those sneakers that I was telling you about before if TaeHee and JongHyun are going off alone somewhere."

When Kibum turned to address my younger sibling, I also snuck a look to see that he was whipping his head back and forth between JongHyun and Kibum, his eyes lit up with amused curiosity and excitement as he took the pair in. At Kibum's sudden redirection of conversation towards him, he jumped up gleefully a smile spreading out across his cheeks.

"Ah Hyung, this is awesome!" Taemin cheered, his face lighting up. "I really want to see those sneakers! They sound like ones I'd wear often and I've been meaning to replace my old ones for a while now."

"Taemin are you sure you're okay with this all?" This time I was the one to ask, surprised he didn't pick up on Kibum's sly dig at JongHyun and I.

Taemin nodded his head smilingly, as obliviously utterly clueless as always. "We'll have our day together later on and with Onew Hyung and Jake as well."

"You sure?" I pressed, not really knowing how I was feeling right now.

"One hundred percent Nuna." He said, thumbs up. "You go help Hyung with what he needs and I'm going to get myself these sneakers that Kibum Hyung has been telling me about."

"Alright then." I finally agreed, grabbing my purse from where I had placed it on the bench. "If you're sure that you're totally okay with it..."

As I grabbed my purse I saw JongHyun release a sigh out his puffed lips, shoulders relaxing and seeing what I did, Kibum snickered into his mug again, my confusion at these two's bizarre actions only obliterating higher into the sky.

Men, I internally scoffed at their randomness, my eyes rolling back a little.

JongHyun was already stood up with his hands lazily resting in his pockets and with a shake of his head motioned for me to follow behind him as I looked up at him, all ready to leave. Giving him a slightly weirded out look I started walking nonetheless albeit making sure to keep my distance from him. For some reason, I just didn't feel right to be near him. He must have noticed my chilly demeanor for he frowned as he inconspicuously looked back at my downtrodden figure.

"What's wrong?" He slowed his pace down so we were side by side.

"Nothing." I was brisk as I replied, not getting myself either.

"Hmm." He didn't further probe me as I had thought he would, his face void of any clear emotion and that dampened my mood even more.

Unknowingly I had begun to drag my feet across the floor, looking down solely at the ground as I put one foot in front of the other, one at a time. Suddenly his arms shot out to halt me in my tracks and I looked up in surprise- not at him but at what was in front of me...
