𝐚𝐥𝐰𝐚𝐲𝐬 𝐭𝐨𝐠𝐞𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐫

Everyone was getting ready for the concert, SMTOWN Live World Tour VI in Osaka, Japan.

Everyone has finished rehearsing when it struck 1 PM and starts to get ready, wearing their outfits for the opening ceremony.

Everyone was busy preparing, staff and another artist was in a rush. Hyekyung stands up from her chair and walks to her bag.

She grabs the necklace Jaemin gave her for her birthday before putting it on.

She exits her waiting room, checking out the stage that they'll be performing on.

This SMTOWN world tour is her 4th concert. She started as an SM ROOKIE then as she reaches May, her debut month, she starts to perform in the next one month as an actual idol.

She was one of the youngest SM idols to ever debut at the age of 15. Yes, there were younger artists than her but she's just one of the youngest.

She stands in the middle of the age, looking around the stadium.

By 3:00, all the seats will be filled by different fandoms with their lightsticks. It was always something that Hyekyung loved.

Seeing that her lightstick was one of them will always make her happy.

She takes a deep breath before feeling arms around her shoulder.

"It's only been a few years... yet it feels like we just performed here yesterday as Rookies." She smiles softly, hearing Jaemin's soft voice.

"Yeah... and the fact we have our own lightsticks now just made a huge difference," Hyekyung said and Jaemin laughed.

Jaemin kissed her cheek before resting his chin on top of her head.

"I'm so glad that I met you."

SMTOWN artist gets on stage with their cameras and all, filming for videos that will be on the idols' channels later.

Jaemin looks around the stage, looking like a lost child until he saw Hyekyung with her big brother, Baekhyun.

The two siblings waving at the fans, giving them some fan service as siblings. Baekhyun suddenly starts getting dragged by Suho and the fans laughed.

Jaemin walks over to Hyekyung and gave her a big back hug. Hyekyung laughed and turn around to hug him back.

The two waves to the fans, giving them hearts until Hyekyung got shy because of it.

Jaemin watches her with love eyes and that's when the fans start to take thousands of pictures of the two, finding their friendship adorable.

But there are some who finds their friendship as 'on another level'.

Times has passed by and all of the artists line up to thank the fans for coming.

Jaemin and Hyekyung hold hands before bowing to the fans for thanks. They all start to exit the stage, waving to the cameras they pass by to their waiting rooms.

Hyekyung went inside her waiting room and carefully remove her earpiece before putting it in its case. She put her customised mic in its case before putting it in her backpack.

She went to the dressing room with her casual clothes, ready to change back and go back to the hotel.

As soon as she exits the dressing room, she organizes her backpack again before swinging it on her shoulder and exited the room.

She saw the way back to the stage and decided to check it one last time before leaving.

She smiles, carefully jumping off the stage and go to the places where the fans stayed to watch them.

She turns around to face the stage and smiled, imagining that she's one of the fans watching her favourite artists perform.

"Didn't expect to see you here." She turns around to the familiar voice and saw Jeno, showing her his signature eye smile.

"I thought that I would check this place out again but on the places that the fans stayed in." She said, smiling as Jeno walk to her side and stares at the stage.

"Performing here is unbelievably hard to accept but here we are, achieving our dreams but there's so much more coming," Jeno said and Hyekyung nodded.

"So much more will still happen and even if things are going well this year, I feel like something will eventually go bad next year," Hyekyung said, sighing.

"I'm the type of person that would overthink and after what happened last year.. all I could worry about is the future," Hyekyung said, looking down, trying to avoid eye contact.

Jeno bites his lip and pats her head, making her look at him.

"It's okay to feel that way. I also feel the same and I'm nervous about the future as well but what's the important thing is..." Jeno looks at her in the eye, seeing stars in her eyes before softly smiling.

"What's the important thing is the present. Whatever happening now is a gift, that's why it's called a present." Jeno said and Hyekyung chuckled.

"We have two more days.." She moved to be in front of Jeno.

"Let's make the best out of it then, Lee Jeno."

"Of course, Hyekyung."

Jaemin looks around for Hyekyung but started hearing voices echoing in the performance hall.

He took a peek and there he saw Hyekyung and Jeno. Jeno patting Hyekyung's head and softly smiling at her.

Jaemin immediately felt an uncomfortable feeling in his stomach but decided to shrug it off.

After all, he can't be her only close friend.
