Chapter 7 - Finding Him
Louis entered the bakery a few days later, hoping that the sweet curly head would be back in place. However, there was no trace of him. His boss stood behind the counter again and cleaned up, because the store was empty again.
He had become really curious now. Surely something bad had happened since the poor boy had not shown up for almost two weeks. So he finally had the guts to ask her more questions.
''Good Morning...''. The slightly older lady looked up at Louis, "Oh, hello. You surely want to buy a few rolls of bread again, don't you?'', she greeted Louis with a warm smile. Louis shook his head quickly.
''Oh no. Well, but-", he sighed, "I wanted to ask if Harry was feeliny any better.". The woman gave him a perplexed look, but then guessed why Louis showed such interest in the boy. She smiled widely and picked up a sticky note and pen. Shortly afterwards, she handed the small note over to Louis.
"I'm not allowed to spread any more information, but since I'm sure you only want to be nice...", she pointed her finger at the note. Louis read it then.
''London Bridge Hospital.''
So he has to be there, Louis thought. He began to grin widely and thanked the nice lady several times. He then left the store, but of course not without his grain bread.
"I'm looking for Harry.", Louis explained. The woman at the desk raised an eyebrow and chewed her chewing gum, obviously annoyed, "Darling, we have many patients named Harry here. I would need the surname.'', she explained. Crap.
Louis sighed. Great, he did not know Harry's last name. How stupid of him.
"Sorry, madame.", he mumbled, feeling embarrassed about his stupidity as he turned around. He widened his eyes when he suddenly spotted a curly-haired head being pulled out of the entryway of the hospital by an elderly, strange man. Harry. But before he could follow him, the two had already disappeared and Louis had no further trace of Harry.
He had to find him somehow again. And he would.
