Chapter 17 - Your Fault
Danielle and Louis were now sitting in front of Harry's front door - for hours. And they really hoped that this weird, black car would return. So they could write down the license plate and maybe find Harry.
However, nothing came. No black car - and no Harry. Louis was very close to giving up. Danielle encouraged him to wait a little longer.
And it turned out to be good advice. The car did come, but ... where was Harry?
"We're not going to get to see a lot from here, so maybe we should get a bit closer?", Danielle suggested. Louis nodded and then the two sneaked closer and closer to the car. Now the two could listen to an apparently important conversation.
"The boy has to shut up, Desmond will burst from anger when he finds out what happened last time.", Louis heard one black-haired man say. Danielle raised both her eyebrows. She wanted to try to combine and understand things as they continued to listen.
And then - to Louis' reassurance - Harry finally came out the front door of his house. Louis watched as he got into the car anxiously and then drove off. Danielle sighed.
"That does not make any sense. Why and where is Harry going with these idiots at all?", she asked. "I would have called the police long ago.", Louis sighed and the two made their way back to his car.
"You know, Danielle ... many people don't wanna go to the police with certain problems or are afraid to. Maybe that's the case here.", Louis started the car and lowered his eyes, "..maybe we can not help him if he doesn't help himself first. "
Louis brought Danielle home and started thinking more about what had been bothering him for the past week. The fact that Harry pretended that they had never seen each other in life.
He sighed loudly as he ran up the stairs to his apartment. Then as he turned the key in the hole, someone - at the same moment - tore the door open from the inside. Louis looked up and he looked at a very angry Niall.
"You are the reason why I'm fired!".
