Chapter 4 - Purple Bruises
Louis left the store, his rose still in his hands. He sighed loudly. Worries were spreading in his head. Did somebody do something to the poor boy?
He looked so innocent and fragile. How could one bend such a soul even a hair?
People are terrible, Louis thought to himself and ran back to his job. There he asked for names, wrote them on cups, and filled cups with delicious hot drinks, which for many is the only highlight of the day. Louis often hoped he could somehow improve someone else's day with what he was doing.
When Louis returned to the bakery a few days later, the curly-haired head still had such weird spots. Not only in the face this time, oh no. Also on his arm.
Even though he tried to hide it, you could see the purple-colored skin. Louis looked at him and he stared back. His green eyes screamed for help, but his mouth was drawn to a fake smile. Both absolutely did not fit each other.
Louis wanted to say something - help somehow. However, he just layed his rose down on the counter, smiled at him and left the warm store again.
Outside, he caught another glimpse inside through the glass window. He smiled a bit when he saw that his roses were being smelled by the cute guy - with a gentle smile on his face - and the sparkle in the beautiful, green eyes was revived.
