I thought my college was the largest building I have ever been to, but I was wrong. Lanie's fashion school puts mine to shame. I feel like I'm in a mall. Mannequins are set up in the hallways with different clothes on them. Everyone is walking around in designer outfits, even some of the models.
"Wow." The word tumbles out of my mouth as I look around the lobby.
"Wow is right." Lisa says while also taking this time to glance around. "This place is beautiful. I suddenly feel underdressed." Her easygoing laugh fills my ears as I turn to look at her.
She looks stunning, but I wasn't expecting anything less. Mrs. Dolan has amazing taste. She's wearing a long, form fitting black dress with pearls draped around her neck.
"No, you look beautiful." I compliment.
"So do you." She says while looking back at me.
I'm wearing a nude colored jumpsuit that ties in the front. My tan heels make me an inch taller than I normally am, but Grayson still towers over me. My hair is in its regular form - down and straight. Maybe for the showcase I'll change it up.
"We need to go to the auditorium. That's where the runway is." Ethan informs us with a nod.
He's wearing a white button down shirt, tucked into his black slacks. His hair is styled up, which pushes it away from his forehead.
"Well, let's head over there." Sean says while holding onto Lisa's hand.
"This place is insane." Grayson whispers while looking down at me.
The sight of him takes my breath away. I already admired him in the penthouse, and then again in the cab ride over here, but I can't help it. He looks so damn good.
Wearing a gray long sleeve shirt, he completes the look with the same black slacks that Ethan is wearing. I feel like Grayson could wear anything and still look good.
"Baby, you're staring." He smirks while placing his hand on my lower back.
"Sorry, did I mention you look so fucking hot?" I whisper, hoping Lisa and Sean don't hear me.
"Yes, and did I mention you look breathtaking?" He smiles while guiding me over to the packed room.
"Yes, you did." I grin before a small gasp escapes my mouth.
The runway is extremely long and still only takes up a smaller portion of the room. Cameras are flashing and reporters are conducting interviews. I feel like I'm about to walk down the red carpet.
"Where's Lanie?" I ask Ethan once we take our seats toward the front.
"Backstage with her models. She said they're getting dressed now." He looks down at his phone.
"I'm so excited to finally see her designs." I gush while looking back at Grayson.
"They're beautiful, not that I expected anything else. That girl has an eye for talent." Lisa leans over to tell me.
"She seriously does." I nod in agreement.
"Hey, isn't that Ralph Lauren?" Grayson asks while pointing a few feet away from us.
I look in his direction, seeing an older man with hair as white as snow taking a seat in the front. He's in his own closed off private area, and cameras are going off like crazy.
"Yes, that's him." Lisa answers for me.
Honestly, I had no idea. Since I'm not familiar with the fashion world, every designer looks the same to me.
