I stare at myself in the full body mirror in my bedroom. My outfit consists of a black long sleeve crop top with high waisted denim jeans. Simple, casual, and sexy all in one. I twirl a piece of my hair between my fingers, biting down on my lower lip in concentration.

"What are you thinking about?" Grayson laughs while walking out of the bathroom.

"Should I put my hair up?" I turn back to look at him.

"Uh, if you want to." He laughs while slipping on his shoes. He's wearing a maroon long sleeve shirt with dark jeans.

"You look cute." I blush while stepping away from the mirror.

"And you look beautiful, as always." He leans over to kiss my cheek.

"I guess I'll leave my hair down." I shrug and head for the closet. My hands reach for the long, black coat that I usually wear when the weather gets cold.

"We're just going to dinner, the restaurant isn't even that fancy." Grayson reminds me.

"This is our first double date with Jake, I never thought I'd see the day." I can't help the small chuckle that escapes my lips.

Grayson and I have been on a million double dates with Ethan and Lanie. The four of us are always going to the movies or going out to dinner. This is the first time Jake is included in it.

My brother has never had a girlfriend in his entire twenty three years of living. Similar to how I used to be, he hated the concept of them. He swore them off for good, only wanting to hook up with girls. I'm glad he found somebody he actually enjoys being around.

"Are you guys naked in there?" Ethan's voice suddenly calls out from outside our door.

"Yes, butt naked." Grayson rolls his eyes.

"Don't listen to him, we're dressed." I scoff at my boyfriend before shaking my head.

The door slowly opens and Ethan peeks his head in. Once he realizes the coast is clear, he lets out a sigh of relief and steps into the room.

"I just got off the phone with mom." He announces.

"Is everything okay?" Grayson slightly furrows his eyebrows.

"Yeah, after a few days of thinking it over, they decided they're okay with it."

"Okay with what?" I ask.

"Me proposing to Lanie this weekend." A small smile crosses his lips.

Fuck, I feel like the worst best friend in the world. I keep forgetting about the big marriage proposal. When Ethan and Lanie came back from Jersey, Sean and Lisa said they wanted to take a few days to digest the idea. I guess they finally came to an agreement.

"That's amazing, man. I'm so happy for you." Grayson says, and I know he truly means that. Of course we want Ethan and Lanie to be happy, it was just the thought of them getting engaged at this age that worried us.

"They still think we should wait, but they practically gave me their blessing. I'm really fucking excited." His voice is shaking with joy as he continues to smile.

"Ethan?" My best friend calls from the hallway.

"Uh, in here!" He yells.

Seconds later, Lanie opens the door to our bedroom. "I didn't know there was a party in here." She giggles while walking over to Ethan and locking her hand with his.

"We're leaving soon. Double date with Jake and Allie." Grayson says while looking back at me.

"Is that the pretty blonde girl downstairs? She's wearing the cutest beanie I have ever seen. It's sparkly and the little pom pom at the top is white and fluffy. I wanted to ask her where she got it." Lanie says with a boastful grin.
