Forbidden

Maddie P.O.V.

    "Hey kids, we're here," I heard dad faintly say. I opened my eyes and looked around. It was pitch black except for the light inside of the car was on. I got out of the car and went around to the trunk to get my stuff out.

    "Is Caleb still asleep," mom asked.

    "I think so yes. I can go wake him up."

    "Thank you." I walked around to the left side of the car and opened the door. Caleb was all wrapped up in his blanket quietly snoring. I stood there and watched him sleep for a couple of minutes before I finally kissed him. His eyes flew open.

    "Well hello to you too Princess," he chuckled.

    "We're here, so you better wake up!" He jumped out of the car and went to the back of the car to get all of our stuff. After he had everything he started walking towards the house.

    "Follow me," he yelled. I laughed then followed him. We walked through the living room and down the hallway. He turned into the third room on the left. "This is our room!"

    "Our room? But there's only one bed."

    "There's also a couch."

    "So I'm sleeping on the couch?"

    "No, I am. You get the bed, Princess." I sat down on the bed. he started unpacking our stuff while I grabbed the remote. The fireplace turned on.

    "Where's the tv remote," I asked.

    "It's the white one on top of the nightstand."

    "What are the other ones for?"

    "The white one is for the tv, the grey one is for the light and fan, and the black one is for the light in the fish tank."

    I got up and walked over to the fish tank. "Are there any fish in here?"

    "Not yet. Dad, Chase and I go fishing every time we come down here and catch fish for it then right before we leave we set them free."

    "Do we have to stay up and wait for Emma, Emily, and Chase to get here?"

    "No, although they should be here soon. It's like 2 am, you can go to bed if you want to."

    "Okay, thanks." I grabbed my pajamas and went to the bathroom to change. After I was done changing I went into the kitchen and started to fix myself a glass of water. After I had finished fixing my water I started to walk back towards my room.

    Before I could even make it to the hallway, the front door creaked open. I paused in my tracks and slowly turned around. I didn't see anything except for the empty porch. I let out a sigh of relief and turned back towards the hallway.

    "Maddie," a little kid screamed as they grabbed onto my legs.

    "AHHHH!!!!!!!" I screamed at the top of my lungs. Caleb came running out of the room.

    "What's wrong," Caleb asked panicked.

    "There's a tiny human on my legs!!" Caleb flipped the light switch on.

    "Emma," he screamed.

    "Bubby," she yelled back.

    "Why is my five-year-old sister scaring my girlfriend?"

    "I didn't mean to scare her."

    "Where's everyone else at," I asked.

    "Unloading everything from the car."
