Bryan P.O.V.

I haven't seen Maddie since we found out she was pregnant. Heck, she's barely even talked to anyone since they moved to New Jersey. I'm so excited to see her and how big our baby is inside of her, but I hate that it has to be this way. I just want to warn her to get out before we get there and do the job.

Chris was the only other person with me. He hated Caleb more than I thought he did. Apparently, he's started hating him when he packed his bags and left without an explanation or goodbye. But was that a good enough reason to kill him? I guess it was for him or he just wasn't telling me the truth.

Tyler ordered us to find Caleb and kill him along with anyone who was with him because not only did he leave the gang, but he also hurt Kylie, got her pregnant then suggested she get an abortion because he didn't want two babies. Kylie is like family to them so I can see why he's mad.

I'm just here to make sure that Maddie and my baby are safe. I'd rather die than know that they're in danger.

"Are you ready," Chris asked as we arrived in the parking lot of the motel they were staying at.

"Ready as I'll ever be. Just let me handle Maddie, okay," I asked.

"Honestly, I know you love her and all so whatever you decide to do with her or to her is up to you," he said as we got out of the car.

"What do you mean?"

"I mean if you take her and leave I wouldn't blame you. We can just pretend like she was never here so you waited for her to get home," he said seriously. I couldn't believe he'd actually be okay with that.

"Thank you. Let's just get this over with," I said then leaned into the door to make sure they were in there. I could hear Maddie's laugh. I'm sorry, Maddie but I have to.

I pulled my mask down. I knocked on the door. I heard footsteps approaching. Please let it be Caleb. The door slid open. It was Caleb. I shoved him out of my way and grabbed Maddie who was sitting on the bed.

"Shhh, don't say anything. I promise you'll be okay," I said then went to cover her eyes.

She started fidgeting and fighting me to move my hand. "No! Leave me alone! Caleb!"

She started screaming. I looked over at Chris. He had Caleb in a chokehold. He pulled out his gun and put it up against Caleb's head.

"You must obey orders no matter what even if it will injure someone whose a brother to you, right," Chris asked.

"What are you talking about," Caleb asked as he tried to escape his grip.

"You're words not mine, remember," Chris said then pulled the trigger.

Blood went everywhere. Maddie screamed. She wouldn't stop screaming. Finally, Chris just walked over to her and knocked her out.

"Let's go, I'll drop you off wherever you want," he said then walked out of the room. I picked Maddie up and started carrying her to the car. After we got to the car I put her in the backseat with me and text Olivia.

Bryan- It's done. We're going to North Carolina. I'll text you the address when we're settled so you can come too. She's going to need her best friend more than anyone right now.

Olivia- Be careful.

I looked up at Chris and asked him to take us to a house I bought in North Carolina before turning to Maddie.

"You're safe now, I promise that I won't let anyone hurt you. I'll protect you until the day I die."
