♛❤ Chapter 13❤♛

Ross:

Fifteen minutes right after he bid goodbye to the kids and sister Faye he decided to head home. He didn't say any word—but I noticed how his spirit lightened up. I didn't expect this being Yzylla Lhaire Ademar—him as a warm-hearted human for those children who were fighting against cancer.

I wanted to ask him how long had he been running the foundation yet I chose to reserved my thoughts—masyadong malakas ang ulan at hangin sa labas. It was past three in the afternoon but due to the dramatic change of the weather—parang ala-sais na ng gabi.

"F**k!" My eyes pinned at his side but found we were glancing at eachother.

"May bumagsak na puno? Damn this weather." I heard him say. He knew as he had vividly seen it blocked our way. I parked the car on the other side of the road and unfastened my seat belt.

"Where do you think you're going?" Does he have to be that surprise? Tsk! Alangan namang maghintay nalang kami dito?

'The tree can't move by itself." I was being sarcastic, yes! Guess his brain needed that, too. I went out and let myself soaked wet in this heavy rain. Masakit rin sa mukha ang tama ng ulan—I covered my head and tried to check the vicinity.

Tantya ko kalian ng sampung tao just to make the road clear—the hell.

"We can't pull that off. Get back inside!" Lumabas rin pala ito sa sasakyan. I hurriedly went back the car and got in. Basang-basa na ako—at maging siya rin.

So what now? "Shall we wait her until morning?" I arched my brows for a silent 'why'.

He started the car's engine and pulled off the car. Babalik kami ng cathedral? Well, guess so.

"I'll drive. I know a place here to stay for a night." Really? Off you go then.

Well, that if you're a nature lover and peace-seeker—you'd love to live here.

It was stained with its old age and those vines embracing it—pretty obvious na abandonado ang pupuntahan naming ngayon.

He stopped the car and seemed waited for somebody to open the gate. I saw him got his phone and dialed someone over his phone.

"Yes, we're here. Are you sure nandito si tatang Esteban? Please call him again, Faye. Thank you—take care too. Bibisita ako diyan bukas.." Saka nito binaba ang cellphone. That was sister Faye and now he was addressing her name like a civil gentleman. Maya-maya'y may bumukas ng malaking gate while bringing two umbrellas with him. He was in his late 60s, I was pretty sure.

Yzylla then started the engine again and drove inside as the gate opened wide. I immediately noticed the Spanish two-storey designed house but it was a concrete one.

"Who owned this?" Wala sa sariling tanong ko. That was not even intended for him to answer.

"Mine." Maikling sagot niya. Which was I didn't expect him to. I shrugged off my wet jacket at tinanggal ko 'agad ito as I went out.

Sinalubong kami ng matandang lalake at binigyan ng tag-iisang payong. "Maraming salamat po." Nginitian ko ang matanda.

"Walang anuman, hija. Okay lang ba kayo, seniorito? Naku, basing-basa na kayo sa ulan—halina't pumasok na kayo sa loob.." Ani ng matanda saka ako sumunod rito. Kasabay nito sa paglalakad si Yzylla habang nakasunod ako. I saw his attachment to the old man—magkakilala siguro sila ng matagal at ngayon lang nagkita ulit kung hindi pa dahil sa bumagsak na punong kahoy sa daan.

Doesn't he have a plan to visit here, does he? Nang makapasok na kami sa loob I was amazed by the beauty of those antiques around and not to mention those huge paintings hanged on the wall.

Halatang alaga naman ang bahay. Hindi maalikabok—it was just the road and entrance gate that could give you goosebumps.

"Yung towel mo nga pala, hija—naku sobrang basa niyo na sa ulan.. Maligo na muna kayo at tatawagin ko nalang kayo 'pag handa na ang hapunan. Pupuntahan ko lang sandal si Anita sa kusina.." I accepted the towel and smiled. The old man seemed very fond and friendly—yung tipong maraming stories na sasabihin sayo.

"Follow me upstairs. Ikaw na muna ang maunang maligo." And why is that? Bago pa man ako magtanong ay nilingon niya ako while we were ascending the wooden grand stairs.

"This house is old—hindi ko na 'to ipina-renovate since I moved to my new mansion. Lahat ng kwarto rito butas na ang dingding maliban nalang sa master's bedroom. At dahil malakas ang ulan, water's dropping from the ceiling." He was really explaining these to me? Tsk. At ito na 'ata ang pinaka-kalmadong usapan na nangyari since we had met!

"Does it mean, we're gonna share one room for a night?"

But no—I won't share my first night with him. Scracth! Even if it would be literaly 'sleeping'. No way!

"Look, Yzylla—I work in a military. I could slept in the mud like literaly—so I won't bother a broken ceiling." Ayokong makatabi ka, gago ka! Yun talaga ang gusto kong sabihin, e.

"Yet you're not in a military field, woman—you're here at my shelter. You're still a 'lady' for me, like literaly. At kung inaakala mo na gagapangin kita—I won't do it. Girls do, not me." He was the type of guy that you didn't want to negotiate with.

Gumalaw ang panga nito nang hindi ako gumalaw sa kinatatayuan ko while we were both staring—firing our catapults silently.

"I'd be good in the couch, you stay on the bed. Now, get in, take a warm bath before you catch a cold." I breathe out! Like damn!

What's with the concern, Yzylla? But I really don't trust that jerky-gentleman! At pumasok na rin ako sa loob ng kwarto since he was partly right—baka nga't sipunin pa ako.

a/n:

Dearest,

Last week, I got myself check with my doctor since everytime I change my position while laying on bed—I felt so dizzy.

Doctor said the symptoms were pretty like Vertigo and yeah, it's called positional vertigo. Anyone suffered from this and what did medications did you take? I have mine though pero parang walang effect kasi until now, dizzy pa rin ako lalo na 'pag nakahiga. oKay lang 'pag naka-steady yung ulo ko pero I can't change position talaga kasi nadi-dizzy ako..

I had checked my eyes na din..

One of my reasons kaya sobrang tagal ko mag-update lately. Sabi nila, esp. husband coz I spent too much on typing and online classes, that's why. =(
