[F/N] POV

Studying was hard. Studying and living on your own was even harder. That's what I learned quickly. I just started my first semester in the University of Tokyo. Of course it was a close call, but I made it somehow. I always managed to deal with problems and difficult situations on my own and that's why my parents decided for me to move out.
And now, I found myself from one student appartement interview into another. Every interview was a huge fail. Either my potential roommates were too picky or I just didn't fit in with the others. Some times, even the apartments were in terrible shape.
"They are just students after all. Broke all the time."
After another interview fail, I made my way to my workplace. It was a café in the middle of the city. Even though Tokyo was loud and busy, the café was rather tranquil. That's why I loved that place.
As I entered the café, the bell on the door rang its sweet sound into the room.
"Hello everyone!"  I smiled at the sight of our costumers. Some costumers greeted back, others just nodded or smiled. Everyone here was so kind. I spotted my co-worker and friend and immediately greeted her with a hug.
"Hey, [F/N]! How was your interview?"
I avoided her curious, but kind gaze and sighed as a response.
"Remember when we were ten and you jokingly predicted my future? I guess I'll end up choking on a hamburger under a bridge after all."
We both laughed before I get changed in the staff room and started working.
After checking on the costumers, cleaning the storage room and checking on the costumers again, I decided to take a break. I sat down at a table in the café instead of hanging around in the staff room. It was much nicer and sometimes you got to talk to nice people.
"Thanks, Sami."
My friend brought me a tea and a croissant. I smiled to her as she went back to work. I took a sip of my tea and leaned back in my chair. My parents won't be too happy about this.
"I wonder if I ever find an apartment... or at least a room."
I took my phone out and looked for more places to live. I even widened the range an searched in nearby cities. I was busy writing applications that I didn't notice someone taking place in front of me.
When I looked up, I saw a middle-aged man. He looked rather tired, but as soom as he noticed me looking at him, he smiled. I usually would never talk like that about my costumers, but his smile gave me the chills.
"Is there something I can do for you, sir?"
"I'm just a little tired."
Since this was a café, I knew exactly what to do. We had situations like this quite often. I stood up and smiled at the man. "In that case, we have just the right thing for you." I attampted to leave the table, but the man grabbed me by my wrist.
"

Young lady, what I need right now is no coffee. I want entertainment. Why don't we go somewhere else? Let me invite you."
His grib became stronger with every word. He whispered, so only I could understand what he was saying. Even if I screamed, I would've cause a ruckus. I didn't know what to do. Something like this never happened to me before, especially not in this café. No one seemed to notice what was going on. It was terrifying. The man came closer, still holding onto me. I closed my eyes, hoping someone would save me already. Please...
"Hey, don't you think the lady might feel uncomfortable?"
I opened my eyes. The man's grib loosened and I immediately stepped back, bumping into a tall male person right behind me. He was holding a stack of papers and some tape, but it all fell down as soon as I ran against him.
"I'm so-"
"Don't mind this."
I looked into the persons face who was looking at the man. He seemed about my age. He had dark brown hair and olive green eyes. I think I saw him somewhere, but I couldn't tell where.
"What's your prolem, boy? Is this your girlfriend or what?"
The man shouted now, so everyone in the café was staring at us. I saw my chef coming from the staff room and as our eyes met, I shook my head. It was better to have as less people involved as possible. The guy behind me stepped forward, so that I was behind him. I couldn't see his face anymore, but I his voice was calm.
"I suggest you leave now. We don't wanna have any trouble here, don't we? There are professional women for your little entertainment."
For a moment, everything felt silent. I looked around the café and noiced the papers still laying across the floor. I kneed down to collect them when I noticed their content. Before I could stand up again, the man passed me and left the café in a rush. I saw the person in front of me sighing and then he turned around to me. When I saw, that I collected his papers for him, he smiled.
"Thank you."
I avoided his gaze amd smiled back.
"It's a bit weird to ask this out of a sudden, but can I have this?"
The male tilted his head in confusion.
"You mean one of these papers?"
"No." I shook my head and pointed on the photo on the paper.
"I mean this room."
