(As usual, I don't own the photo above)
The story gets a bit weird, but your going to have to work with me. I tried to keep it away from the 'What the heck is happening' region, and the title wont make sense until you get into the story.
Francoeur sat on the roof of a tall building, next to the Seine. He looked at the river, admiring it. The lights from nearby buildings glimmering on the surface of the river. He listens to the silence, broken by the sound of a car bustling down the street, or the heels of someone walking down the stone walkway. Francoeur turns his head, as the sound of a few people laughing as they walk down the sidewalk comes closer, He peers off of the rooftop, and sees Lora, walking down the street with Raoul, having what seems to be quite a thrilling conversation. Francoeur leans over, eavesdropping on their conversation.
"-think you like him?" Raoul looks over at Lora, as he finishes his question.
"Well, i'm not sure whether I did.. do, or not. On one hand he's a great person-"
"Flea" Raoul corects
"Yeah, but on the other well, he's a flea, so if i did ever want kids, i'm not sure we could, and if we did, what would they look like.."
"Which is why I think you should set your sights on a human, not some lab experiment gone wrong!" Raoul suddenly put his hand on the wall, stopping her from walking forward.
"Raoul? What are you doing?" Lora tried to push his arm out of the way, with no luck
He looked her in the eyes, as he said, "Maybe you should set your sights on a human.. like me, Lora" He leaned forward and kissed Lora, she fought at first, soon wrapped her arms around his neck, as he put a hand around her waist, pulling her closer.
Francoeur leaned back, as rage, hatred, and so much envy bubbled up inside of him. HE wanted to be there. HE had met her first, HE had built a friendship first, all to have Raoul swoop in and take her far beyond Francoeur's reach. Francoeur's eyes began to burn as a tear fell, running down his cheek.
Francoeur jumped across the Seine, he wanted to get away from it all, the envy, the pain, the hurt, the betrayal.
(Your going to have to work with me in this next paragraph, bc it gets weird)
They say emotional pain hurts worse than physical pain, and they were right, but it also lasts twice as long. Wherever he jumped, it seemed to follow, like a hungry wolf of pain, a heartless creature, whos mind and eyes are clouded in a thick fog of hurt and regret, so clouded that a bright beacon of hope, and healing can become lost in that thick fog, while it prays upon a lamb of innocence. The lamb is innocent, until it is consumed by the guilt, envy, fear and lies of the wolf. The lamb can never be returned, for what once was a helpless little lamb, has now become a wolf of pain, preying upon helpless lambs, only to spread that pain, guilt and envy, like a plague.
He had gone a few miles from the seine, the moon now over him, shining its wondrous glow upon the buildings. He figured he would head towards his favorite bar, he could talk to the bartender, maybe it would give him a piece of mind.
He opened the door, warm air rushed onto Francoeur as he stepped in, the soft atmosphere made the place comforting, red and white seats lines one side of the bar, while a medium sized stage sat in the back corner, with a lady singing softly on it. The actual bar section took up the front corner, and then some
"Welcome back Francoeur, haven't seen ya' in a while!" The bartender made conversation while he cleaned glasses, Francoeur say down at a barstool.
