Loralei sat on the edge of the marble fountain, listening to the flowing water behind her as she looked at the flower in her hand, twirling it between her fingers.

She looked up to see Violet and Morgan giggling contently to themselves. She set the flower down beside her, before standing up.

"C'mon, L, we're gonna go find that loser of a boyfriend and dump him! Then we're gonna go get you your man!" Morgan shouted, grabbing both Violet and Loralei's arm as she began to pull them towards the park entrance.

They walked towards the entrance, Loralei walking behind Morgan and Violet, whomst were discussing how exactly she should dump Abigor.

"You know, you never did tell us how Abigor and you became an item." Violet said, momentarily walking backwards.

"Well.. It's kind of a long, boring story." Loralei shrugged. "I figured you wouldn't have wanted to hear it."

"L, you know that romance is like, my thing, regardless of how trashy it ended up." Morgan laughed. "I wanna know how you and Abigor became lovers."

It was then, then that, they reached a crossroads, where to other paths, to their left and right, led to other areas of the park. Coming from the left they heard the gentle strumming of a guitar.

I found the park to be quite peaceful in the night. The gentle hum of cars in the distance, the chirping of crickets. Night also seemed to hone my creativity, Lucille said it was pretty common for artists to become more productive at night. Although at the moment, writing songs were the last thing on my mind..

As I continued strumming my guitar, I heard giggling and general conversation coming from the main path.  Of course, I didn't want to listen in, until I actually heard a bit of the conversation.

"- imagine it L, without Abigor holding you back, you could come and sing with us again, like we used to!" Said a feminine

"God, you remember that? We haven't sung together in.. forever." Naturally I recognized Loralei's voice, but I don't think I recognize whoever she's talking to.

"Of course I remember it! You wanted to go and learn to play the violin, and we never got back together. Of course, now Violet and I have our own performance center, so in a weird way, everything kinda worked out."

"You could come back and sing with us." Said a third voice, slightly monotone.

"I mean, I help out with the cabaret and all.." Loralei spoke.

"I think you just don't want to leave Monsieur Francoeur alone." One of them giggled.

Of course, as I figured they were talking about Loralei, a slight blush appeared on my face. There was, of course a small possibility she reciprocated feelings, but considering my better judgement, I assumed they were joking with her.

Although I began to doubt my suspicions when I heard no response from Lora.

"Hey, uh, the strumming stopped."

"Well, yeah, it's like 1 o'clock in the morning. Whoever that was probably went home, Morgan."

"Probably." Morgan spoke.

I stretched as a yawn came over me, I figure now's as good a time as any to head back to the cabaret. I know Lucille's been out searching for Lora since she found her missing, hopefully she'll be back before the sun comes up.

I figure me being seen without my hat and mask wouldn't be very beneficial. My mistake for leaving the cabaret without my disguise... I'll have to make a mental note for next time.
