Picture: Lily Collins as Kayleigh Evans

So I'm considering changing the title of the book to The Outlaws because it's more relevant. What do you think?

Also, I honestly forgot I was supposed to put up the pictures in order of the cast list, so I've changed the pictures for ALL chapters! And I changed some of the cast! Go check them out!

ALEXIS

"Alexis!" someone calls. "Wait up."

I spin around and I see Matt rushing after me.

"Hi, Matt," I smile, walking towards him.

"Hey! So um, Christian skipped school again today."

I nod. He has missed school for the whole week except for Monday.

What even is our Biology project?

"So, he asked me to ask you to go over to Isaiah's place tomorrow afternoon, around 3 or 4."

"Oh, okay...? What is this for again?" I enquire, clueless about what is going on.

"Oh, right. It's just to hear our band practice."

"Sweet. Well, yeah, I'm totally free almost every weekend so I'll make it," I inform him. "Is Dan asking Kay to come too?"

"Yeah, he is planning on it. But he hasn't yet. Not that I know of, anyway."

I wonder if Dan is shy... Because that would be so cute.

"Oh, alright. But anyway, yeah, I'll be there."

"Great. I'll text you the address."

We exchange numbers, I thank him, and we go our separate ways.

I meet Jeremy outside where his car is parked.

"Hey," I smile.

"Hey, babe," he greets, kissing me quickly. "So... It's a Friday, the sun is shining, and I have a surprise for you," he pokes a finger into my chest, wrapping his arm around my waist.

"Hints?" I ask, trying my luck.

"Nope," he grins.

"Aw, damn," I pout.

"You're cute," he chuckles. "Shall we go?"

He opens the passenger door for me and I slip in and buckle up.

The ride to this mystery place is mostly quiet, except for him humming along to some songs on the radio and my fingers drumming against my phone. But it's a comfortable kind of quiet, not really an awkward one.

"We're here," he announces, putting the car in park.

We're at some Chinese restaurant for our date, and I love Chinese. Then again, who doesn't?

Our first official date. Ahhh.

He opens my door and grabs my hand while we walk together.

"You, Alexis Dalcour, are about to try the second best stir fry to ever exist in the world, after your mum's, of course."

***

"I had fun today, Jer," I tell him, intertwining my fingers with his.

"Me too," he smiles.

I sigh contentedly after a while. "That was good stir fry."

"I told you, didn't I?"

"I don't know, did you?" I tease.
