Picture: Austin Butler as my other option for Jeremy Thomas
The pictures now will just be of the more important characters.
ALEXIS
"I just realised something," Christian voices suddenly. "How come you don't sit with us for Lunch? You should join us."
"Sure, why not?" I reply quietly.
Lunch was the previous period, so this arrangement will start tomorrow.
We're in the middle of our Physics lesson and the two of us are bored to death. Don't get me wrong, I'm looking at the gorgeous teacher—I'm just not listening to him. So we've spent the time in here just talking.
Kayleigh, who's sitting in front of us, turns around to glare at us, and Christian and I can't help but laugh. Since it's only the three of us-none of our other friends are in this class-we change partners each lesson. It was supposed to be Kayleigh sitting with me today, but Christian pushed her out of the seat and stole it, forcing her to sit in front of us with some random person.
"Would you two lovebirds shut up?" she hisses.
Lovebirds?
I purse my lips to stop myself from laughing. "Sorry, Kay."
She turns back around to face our young and good-looking teacher.
Christian snorts. "How do you think she's going to get me back for this?"
"Do you even think she'll remember this? She seems so caught up in listening to and staring at Freeman," I mutter.
She whirls around for a second to say, "I am not! I have a-"
"Miss Evans?" Mr Freeman calls.
She has a what? Damn you, Freeman.
"Sorry, Sir," she replies, smiling sheepishly and turning pink.
Christian chuckles after a minute. "How come you're not into Freeman?"
"He is hot, but he's also probably a perv, too old, way too cocky, and so on," I shrug.
"I thought girls like cocky guys?"
"Some girls, maybe. Some girls, not at all."
"How about you?"
"For me, yes, to a certain extent," I say. Suddenly feeling slightly uncomfortable and embarrassed, I question him, "Why do you ask?"
Grinning secretively to himself, he replies, "No reason."

"Hey," someone calls.
I was just walking out of the school doors, about to head to Kayleigh's car. She's giving me a lift home today since I'm not meeting Christian.
I close my eyes, praying that it isn't who I think it is. I turn towards the source of the sound to find that my prayers weren't answered.
"Hey," I greet, smiling at my sort of ex-boyfriend.
"Look," Jeremy begins. "I know that just yesterday you gave me really valid reasons why we shouldn't go out again, but I'm just... Alexis, I feel... I feel horrible and guilty and devastated."
"Jeremy-" I start.
He shakes his head and looks me in the eye. "Alexis, I'm begging you to give me another chance."
"I... I don't know what to say," I admit, paying some attention to the ground. "Jeremy, I like you. I do. But I'm just honestly terrified and I don't know if I'm ready to date again, in general. It's not just you."
