This chapter may have some parts that don't really make sense or some errors. I published it earlier than I normally would have!
ALEXIS
The one thing that spoils my whole day is waiting for me at the end of the corridor that the bathroom is in.
Nikki.
"Alexis," she says, an evil, sly smile on her she-devil face.
"What do you want, Nikki?" I ask, exasperated.
"I just want to talk." She shrugs, feigning innocence. "How have you been?" she asks sweetly.
I roll my eyes. "Let's just cut to the chase, alright? I have somewhere I actually want to be, and that's not wasting my time with you."
She scoffs. "And that's with Christian, right?"
"No, it's with all of them."
"Really? Because I heard you dumped Jeremy."
I sigh. "What does that have to do with this?"
"Everything. You see, ever since you and Christian became friends, well..." She squints and tilts her head from side to side. "It looked like more than friends to everyone else. So, I'm thinking that you and Christian have had this thing going on, even when you were with Jeremy, and even when I told you to keep your legs closed."
I roll my eyes. "And what the fuck are you going to do?"
She smirks. "I'm going to make your life hell."
I nod slowly. "Let me get this straight... I dumped Jeremy, and I'm best friends with Christian, so you assume I've been cheating. And you want Christian for yourself-even after he practically told you he's not interested, but I guess that doesn't matter-so you go all crazy-bitch and attack other girls, because you're jealous that you can't get guys for yourself?"
I raise my eyebrows in challenge and cross my arms, while she narrows her eyes and takes a step forward.
"Listen here, you slut," she hisses.
I cut her off. "No, you listen. I'm sick you sticking your nose into my relationships. Don't you have a life that doesn't involve me, Jer or Chris? You have nothing to do with them! You don't have any right to do any of this. Are you even listening to yourself? If people hear how you're threatening me, they'll honestly think you sound like some Christian-obsessed twelve-year-old girl. Act your damn age! Honestly. Just save yourself the trouble and embarrassment, and leave me alone."
She stands there with her mouth slightly open as she gapes at me in shock. I turn around and push past her, walking by the drinks table and closer towards the front door.
"Hey, Alexis!" she calls after me.
I whirl around, to see that she followed me a little.
"You forgot something."
I frown. "What?"
She smirks, then she grabs the jug of water from the drinks table, and I get splashed, which seems to be a tradition now, when we talk. The two braids in my hair are dripping wet, and my white top is now see-through so my black bra is more visible than it already was.
Since my boobs are almost on full display, some guys whistle and catcall me. Some people gasp pitifully, others whisper and laugh. While I'm looking around the room, where most of the people have stopped and stared, I see Jeremy who is starting to get up from the couch to come to me. I subtly shake my head at him and mouth 'it's okay'.
