I'd been a fan of Sam and Colby for a long time. I had watched their urban exploration videos and really enjoyed them, so I decided to make a few of my own.
The first dozen, at least, were absolute shit. I didn't know how to get in places, and I didn't know how to film. After about the 15th video, I'd finally gotten the hang of it, kind of. I also made sure to bring a friend with me, in case the places were dangerous. The places I usually went were in a small town, so they weren't that dangerous, but you can never be too safe.
The worst thing to ever happen was I was with my friend Ryan one time, and a homeless person chased us out of the abandoned warehouse we were exploring. That's about it though. The cops around here didn't even waste their time patrolling the abandoned areas.
About six months into this hobby, I made a YouTube channel and to my surprise, it grew quickly. Very quickly. I guess because there's not a lot of girls who do this kind of stuff. Plus, I referenced Sam and Colby's videos a lot in my own videos, so their fans would usually enjoy my videos. So far, I have 78,000 subscribers and it's counting by the day, which is strange because I've only ever explored in my own state and once when I went on a vacation to Florida.
People in the comments often say I should collab with Sam and Colby. I always thought they were crazy. Sam and Colby would never collaborate with a small channel like mine. It wouldn't help them at all. I would love it, but it just wasn't plausible.
Regardless, I've sent at least 5 emails to the Sam and Colby email address. No one has responded, which I'm not surprised about. My friend, Hayden, was a huge fan of Sam and Colby as well so she would often send the emails for me and encourage me to send them in general.
(Hayden will be played by Sarah Baska aka the goat)
I was currently packing my backpack with the white 'XPLR' across the front for my newest exploring trip. Hayden and I were going to a place right outside of town. We had heard about it online and desperately wanted to check it out.
"Hi guys! It's your least favorite Urban Explorer, Andy, back with another uninteresting video!" I said my Intro as I was riding in the car. Hayden was driving. She giggled at my self-hate.
"So, today we're going to an abandoned halfway house near where I live. It's been abandoned for around 50 years. I'll get into that more when we get there. I'm definitely not going to give out the name of the place because it's private property and we don't condone trespassing on this channel!" I smirked at my camera, knowing I was going to put the name and general location in the description.
"I've heard it's haunted," Hayden added, so I planned the camera to face her.
"Oh, really? So, I should look out for ghosts and shit while I'm here?" I laughed. I had never really been afraid of ghosts. I believed in them, I just wasn't scared. My thing is, the things in life you really need to look out for aren't things at all. They're people. People are more dangerous than any ghost.
