We walk quietly and quickly to the room we hid in. I'm not even sure how I remembered it. When we got to the room, I immediately saw my bag over in the corner. I'm so glad no one took this because it has my wallet, keys, and extra equipment inside.

"Alright let's go because this place cree-," Colby starts but is cut off by a loud slam that sounds extremely close to us. Followed by heavy footsteps that are moving at a fast pace. We both look at each other wide eyed. I gesture for him to move over to the other side of the room and hide there. He notices a storage closet and opens it, getting inside. I follow him inside and close the door. The closet is extremely small so we're sharing a lot of personal space right now.

"I'm going to warn Sam," Colby says and pulls out his phone, which shines some light on his face. He sends Sam a text telling him to hide, just in case.

We hear the footsteps get closer and closer, eventually making it to our room. It sounds like more than one person. Which is what scares me even more. I shift my body, trying to give Colby some room but there's not really any space to begin with.

"Am I squishing you?" Colby asks me quietly.

"No, I just don't want to crowd you," I whisper.

"You're fine. Just sit still so you don't make any noise," he tells me. As of right now, my back is pressed against Colby's front and my bag is sitting on the floor beside us.

The footsteps sound like they're going away, that is, until we heard someone cough in the exact room, we're in. This letting me know there's definitely two people. The cough makes me flinch, and Colby puts his hands on my waist, rubbing circles with his thumb. Trying to calm me down now. The person in our room walks around in here for a minute before walking out.

"I swear I saw a bag in there earlier," one of the people say, I recognize it to be a man's voice.

"Why didn't you get it earlier then?" the other man asks.

"Because I didn't want to go in there alone. I didn't know if it was a trap or not," the first man responds.

"Let's just go man. I think I heard footsteps earlier so who knows who else is in here," the other guy responds, and we hear their footsteps get farther away. We wait for like two minutes, just to be safe. Finally, Sam texts Colby and says they left.

"Alright let's get the fuck out of here," Colby whispers. I open the door slowly and peek out. There's no one there so I walk out, making sure to grab my bag on the way out.

We walk to the doorway and look down both sides of the hallway. There was once again no one so we walk to the door and crawl out. Sam meets us at the entrance and starts describing the guys.

"One of the had to be at least 6 foot 5, he was so big. The other was smaller but more muscular. Both of them looked scary as hell," he said, catching his breath when he finished.

"We could've died," Colby said, laughing.

"Where did y'all hide?" Sam asked.

"A storage closet," I tell him, heading towards the fence.

"That must've been so scary," Sam said as I climbed over the fence.

"Yeah, it was. One of them came into the room we were in," Colby told Sam as he, himself made it over the fence. Sam followed suit.

"I hid behind the wall of the building," Sam said, putting their flashlights away.

The whole situation had kind of freaked me out. I'd never been that close to being hurt before. I mean, we don't know if they would hurt us but it's safe to assume, they weren't there to just hang out.
