"Where's Hayden?!" I asked Jake over the loud speakers in the house. I don't know how the police haven't been called yet, but I'm thankful.
It's 11 O'Clock now and the party is in full swing. Almost everyone is wasted. I've considered having a drink, but I don't want to risk getting anyone in trouble. The group is scattered through the house now and when I say this house is crowded, I mean it's crowded. It's actually a safety hazard.
"I don't know," Jake shrugs and then walks away.
I suddenly hear cheering from the front room so I do my best to squeeze through the crowds to go see what's going on. When I make it, I see that Colby and Elton are crowd-surfing in this huge mass of people. I didn't even know Elton was here. I hope I get to meet him tonight. Suddenly, I hear a loud thud and people go 'ooo'. Someone fell on the ground.
"Ow!" I hear Colby yell.
"Are you okay?" some girl asked him.
"Yeah, I'm just going to take a break for a minute," he laughed it off and stood up, rubbing his back.
I lost interest in this area so I moved on to the kitchen, where I found Hayden and Devyn talking.
"Hey guys," I walk in.
"Hey, what was that loud noise?" Devyn asked me.
"Oh, Colby fell," I laughed.
"I didn't fall. They dropped me, okay?" Colby walked into the kitchen, still holding his lower back.
"Okay, do you need ice or something?" I ask him.
"Actually, yeah," he looked at me like he just remembered ice was a thing. He walks behind me to the refrigerator and opens the freezer part, taking out a bag of peas.
"You should probably rest for awhile," Devyn said.
"Yeah, you're right," he slurs.
"Colby! Come take a shot!" Brennen Taylor came around the corner with a bottle of Vodka.
"I will in a little bit man," Colby gave him an apologetic look. He just huffed and walked off.
I look around and notice Devyn and Hayden have drinks. Hayden is 21 but I just feel so left out being the only one not drinking. It's not that I feel pressured to, it's that I've done it plenty of times before and I want to have a good time.
"Andyyy," Colby looked over at me. My cheeks heat up from his tone. It's very obvious he's drunk and I'm scared he's going to embarrass me in front of Devyn and Hayden, and potentially everyone around us.
"What?" I lean closer to him, so he doesn't answer loudly.
"Come here," he gestured for me to put my ear closer to his mouth.
"Yes?" I ask.
"You look really pretty tonight," he whispered to me. My cheeks are probably the color of a firetruck right now.
"Thank you, Colby," I smiled at him. He only smirked in return.
"Alright well," Colby started, looking at Devyn, Hayden and myself, "I'm probably going to bed."
"What? It's only, like, eleven," Devyn asks, shocked.
"I know but my back is really hurting," he explains.
"Alright, hope you feel better," Devyn says.
"Me too," Hayden adds.
"What about you, Andy?" Colby smirks in my direction.
