"That was very mean," I pouted when I got in the car.
"I'm sorry. I thought it was open," Colby shrugged.
"Sure," I rolled my eyes.
"So, we're just going back to your place right? No more stops?" Colby asks, backing out of the parking spot.
"Not that I know of," I huff, still annoyed.
"Alright," he says and drives in the direction of my apartments.
"It's your turn for two truths and a lie, dude," Sam said to Colby.
"We're still playing that?" Colby laughed.
"You never went!" Sam told him.
"Fine. I love tomatoes. I love bananas. I think one person in this car is hot," he says, shocking Sam and me on the last part.
"Well you obviously think Sam's hot, so that's true," I giggle.
"That one is true, yeah," Colby nods.
"I'm gonna say you don't like tomatoes," I guess.
"You're correct. I hate tomatoes," he answers.
"Wait, so that means the car thing was really tr-," Sam starts, but Colby gives him a look.
"We're here," Colby says, pulling into my apartment building parking lot. Once he finds a space, he parks the car.
We all get out and I get my bag from their trunk. They walk over to me and shuffle around awkwardly.
"So, I guess this is goodbye for now," I tell them.
"Just for a few weeks, remember?" Sam says.
"Yeah, of course," I nod and hug Sam.
"Bye kid," I say as I pull away from him.
"Kid? I'm older than you," Sam laughs.
"Shhh child," I hushed him.
"Now to the.....bitch that locked me out of the car four times, Colby, what's good?" I turned to Colby, who raised his eyebrows in shock.
"We were just having fun," he smirks.
"I wasn't having fun," I shake my head.
"Come here," Colby says as he pulls me into a hug. That smell is back. It gets stronger the closer I become to Colby.
"Goodbye asshole," I tease him as I pull back from the hug that I'm sure lasted longer than Sam's.
"Bye," he sighs and starts to walk to his side of the car so, I head to my apartment.
Trudging up the stairs, avoiding going inside because then I have to admit that it's actually over. Sam and Colby are actually leaving. Just as I reach the top step, I hear footsteps coming up behind me. I turn around and see Colby walking up the steps towards me.
"What's up?" I ask, adjusting my bag on my shoulder.
"I wanted to ask you something before I leave," he says and finally reaches the step below the one I'm standing on. Even when he's a step lower than me, he's still taller.
"What's that?" I ask him, getting more curious by the second.
"I wanted to know if I could have your number," he says, searching my eyes for any signs of rejection.
"You could've just asked Sam for it," I giggle.
"I know, but I don't necessarily just want it for collaboration plans," he hints. Luckily, I'm able to pick up what he's throwing down. My cheeks immediately blush.
