Not knowing was the worst part. I'd be happy with anything Colby wanted to do with me but I am an anxious person and not knowing was killing me.
I asked Hayden for her help getting ready, and luckily, she said yes even though her and Jake were about to watch a movie. She said they can watch it later. She began by putting loose curls in my hair to make it wavy and then she helped me pick out my outfit. Which was literally just black leggings and a black hoodie. I think she subconsciously tried to dress me to match Colby.
"Do I look okay?" I asked her, giving a little spin.
"Flawless, doll.." she smiled and slapped my ass.
"My stomach is churning. I feel nauseated," I laugh uncomfortably. She gives me a hug and pets my head like I'm a dog.
"Aw, poor baby has butterflies. That's actually so cute," she pulls away and looks at me, "but on the real; are you planning on doing the dirty with him tonight?"
"No.." I shake my head and look around to make sure he's not anywhere close to us.
"Why not?" she laughs and wiggles her eyebrows.
"Because it's like, every time I sleep with a guy too early, it ruins it. I like Colby and I want to take it slow," I explain, "Plus, he kind of scares me."
"Oh, God. Hopefully not in a bad way," she asks with concern in her tone.
"No, no. Not like that. It's just-, he's probably been with a lot of girls and a lot of those girls were probably very experienced. I'm not saying I'm a prude but I'm no LA girl.." I elaborate, "He intimidates me. I think that's the better word for it."
"You ready to go?" Colby's voice is suddenly heard from the foyer. Thankfully, Hayden and I were in the kitchen so I doubt he heard anything.
"Yeah," I nodded and waved goodbye to Hayden. I'm sure she'll wait up so she can hear about our date from start to finish.
Colby leads me out to his car. He's carrying a big bag in his hands and it really piques my interest. He's adorned in black jeans and a white sweatshirt with 'take chances' on the front. I can't tell if it's humbling or narcissistic that he wears his own mercy.
"What's in the bag?" I asked, opening the passenger door as he opens the back door to throw the bag in.
"Can't tell you that," he smirks, and mirrors me as we both get in the car.
"What can you tell me?" I quirked an eyebrow, growing impatient with his elusiveness.
"I can tell you that I think you will like what I have planned," he reaches down to start the car, "I can tell you that you look beautiful tonight, and I can tell you that I'm excited to spend more time with you.."
My cheeks heat at his honest confessions. I shuffle around before finally responding, "I'm excited too."
"So, are you hungry?" he asks as he rests his arm on my seat as he turns to watch as he backs out of his parking spot. His cologne hits me and I immediately start picturing all the dirty things I want this man to do to me.
"Andy?" he asks again as we're pulling out into the street.
"Huh? Oh, yeah. Starving," I nod.
"Is pizza okay, again? or do you want something different?" He glances over at me as he speaks.
"Up to you," I shrug.
The ride to the pizza place was quiet as low music played through his speakers. 'Knee Socks' by the Arctic Monkeys softly kept us comfortable.
