Callum's POV

At this point Rayla and I have basically adopted Pamela, today I decided to ask her about her backstory. "Hey Pam, what happened to your parents?", I saw a tear streaming down her eye. "they died when I was 3 years old, I never liked the way they thought about humans. They always thought humans were a pest that needed to be exterminated, I don't really miss them now that I think about it. you guys are taking way better care of me then they ever could.". I linger on her last words for a while, you guys are taking better care of me than they ever could... Pamela just compared Rayla and I to her parents, am I becoming a father figure?

Rayla's POV            

Callum told me all about his conversation with Pamela, and how she compared us to her parents and said we were better. "Callum, are we becoming..." I give him a serious look "parents? yep I guess so." he says. "but we aren't even anywhere close to being mature enough for that responsibility." I say. He gives me a comforting look and says "lets just hope for the best"

Callum's POV

I can tell that we've come very far in our journey through Xadia, in 3 days we'll be in the presence of the dragon queen. In those few weeks we have spent with Pamela, Rayla has taught her every special move in fighting and has taught her more than she has learned within her lifetime. Soon enough, Pamela became a skilled fighter just like Rayla. I still can't get over how amazing Rayla is, Ive gotta be the luckiest guy on earth. Pamela has also become a decent artist, but she isn't as good as me, Obviously...
