A disagreement

Rayla's POV

I wake up to the sound of moonbirds in the trees. I slowly open my eyes to see Pamela snuggling up to zym, it's gonna be tough to tell her that were returning zym today. Callums fell asleep on me last night, I'm gonna need to get him off me. "Psst, callum! Get up!", he snuggles my arm. "Five more minutes"  he whispers. He's so cute when he's like this, "I wonder if..." I whisper as I pinch his nose. "Ouch, hey that hurts!" He whines. "Well somebody is grumpy" I tease, he gives me his usual grumpy face.

"Is Pamela awake yet?" He asks me. "No dummy, if you would've been paying attention you would've noticed" he rolls his eyes at me. "Were returning zym today right?" He asks me. I look over at Pamela,  "yeah...". I can't even imagine how sad and angry she's gonna be when we tell her. "Hey Rayla, are you listening?" He says as he gives me an annoyed look. "I-I've been thinking about something... about Pamela and how she's gonna react when we tell her what we're gonna do with zym." I say as I walk in circles. There I go, getting nervous again.

 "I was thinking that maybe could Pamela come with us into the mountain?" He asks me. "Absolutely not." I say angrily. "But why? She's fully capable of going in there with us. Besides, she's gonna need so say goodbye to zym" he protests. "She can say goodbye before we go in, I am not risking the life of an 8 year old! Ezran and Pamela would probably get along like 2 peas in a pod, which is why it's important that she stays alive. And I could never live with myself if it was my fault that an 8 year olds life was ended." I shout at him. I can tell that he isn't very happy with my decision. "Don't bring ezran into this, I want Pamela to go inside and say goodbye to zym!". Ugh, sometimes I wonder how callums brain works. " Callum, if Pamela dies in there because she attacks somebody or tries to get zym back, my point is that she still has a full life to live.". 

Callum's POV 

I don't see the problem with taking Pamela with us to return zym, she'll be fine. " she can handle herself fine-" I try to protest "CALLUM SHE'S 8 YEARS OLD!" At this point were gonna wake up Pamela if rayla doesn't calm down. "Besides, why would Pamela ever even try to get zym back?" I ask her with a puzzle look. "You dummy! Look at her, she's already attached to zym and she's gonna be angry when we tell her what were gonna do! I know that fierce look in her eyes, she's not gonna hesitate to strike back at the queen". Rayla does have a point there, but I'm not giving up that easily. "Rayla i-" I go to grab her hand, but she pulls away. it looks like I really pissed her off this time. "I'm- I'm going on a walk" she says angrily.  "Rayla wait,  we can still discuss this" I see her glare at me, but something is wrong. There are tears in her eyes.

I feel SUPER guilty, I just caused rayla pain. Suddenly dread fills my body, rayla and I just had a fight, a bad one too. So bad that rayla refuses to hold my hand? Oh no, what if she wants to break up? Now that question really scared me. At this point I'm pretty upset so I do what I always do when I'm upset. Draw.

1 hour later

Raylas been gone for awile, I'm starting to worry. Pamela has already gotten up , she said she was gonna go play with zym. I need to go after her, I NEED to say sorry. "Hey Pamela! I'm gonna look for Rayla, stay with zym.", "ok, wait Rayla was gone?" I nod my head. I start running into the forest. "RAYLA!" no answer.
