Bad dreams

Callum's POV

The rest of the night was perfect, aside from me blushing uncontrollably whenever rayla and I made eye contact. I tried to flirt multiple times but failed horribly, which just made rayla die of laughter.  "Callum you may be the cutest boy I've ever met, but your flirting attempts are hilarious" she says.  We sit in silence for awhile, eventually it starts to get super late so we get up to head back to camp. We pass by Pamela as she says "what's up lovebirds?". I look at her with a smirk, "why aren't you in bed yet?" I ask her. She shrugged and shuffles of to bed, rayla and I sit next to the fire and snuggle for a while. I look at rayla seeing that she dozed off already, although something was wrong. Rayla was moving around and frowning, she's probably having a bad dream. I scoot closer to her and hug her tightly, I hope she's alright...

Rayla's POV

I open my eyes to See that I'm somewhere unknown, a strange field. My first instinct is to find Pamela, callum, and zym. "CALLUM, PAMELA WHERE ARE YOU?" I look around frantically to see them nowhere in sight. "Rayla, calm down" I hear from somebody behind me. I quickly turn around to see somebody familiar, Runaan. "What's happening?" I ask him frantically. He shakes his head, "I'm dissapointed in you Rayla..." I give him a confused look. "Your dating a human, A HUMAN BOY!" He shouts. I look angrily at him, "I get to choose who I love, their race doesn't matter! I love callum and you can't change that!". Runaan gives me an annoyed look, "and have you forgotten that you never fulfilled your duty? Your stubborn ways has gotten me KILLED!". I widen my eyes at his last word "k-killed?" I say weakly. I can't believe it, I thought runaan made it back to town. "YES I AM DEAD AND IT'S ALL YOUR FAULT!" he shouts at me. I crouch down and start crying, I look up to see runaan fading away "RUNAAN I'M SORRY, PLEASE DON'T GO!" I shout at him. As soon as I finish my sentence I black out...

Callum's POV

I can see that Rayla has started crying. I have to wake her up now. I start to shake her, "Rayla what's happening? Are you ok?" .  Her eyes snap open and looks over at me with tears in her eyes, "runaan is dead! It's all my fault!". If can see tears streaming down her face. "Shhh, it's gonna be okay rayla. It's gonna be okay, I've had bad dreams too, about..." I hesitate for a moment. "Your parents..." she says to me.  I nod, " I used to have dreams about my mom ever since she died, the last time I had one was about a month ago. Remember my dark magic coma?" I ask her. "Y-yeah" she says weakly, she's blushing. "Why are you blushing?" I ask her, "did i say something embarrassing?" I say face palming. "No, it just that when you were in that coma I may or may not of almost confessed my feelings to you" she says with a blush. "I knew something was up, when you had that look on your face after I woke up you looked nervous!" I say excitingly. "Too bad you were as dense as a brick wall back then" she says rolling her eyes. We both joke around about our 'moments' until I look over to Pamela staring with an unimpressed face. "Are you guys done, or am I just never gonna sleep?". We give her a nervous laugh and decide that it's best we get to sleep now, we have a big day ahead of us.
