Chapter 8

Maggie's POV

Today I had to make sure I looked extra gorgeous. I grabbed my makeup bag and tried to make myself amazing. Put on my favorite outfit and headed out to school. Every morning I walked through the halls like royalty. Everyones eyes were always on my, I loved the attention.

"Cole we need to talk" I said approaching his locker.

"We um..no..I. I have classes to get to" I felt his eyes raking my body.

"No. We need to talk now." I said bringing him to the music room.

Nobody ever goes to the music room, the program has been shut down for years so this was the usual spot where everyone skipped class.

"Maggie I have classes and I'm not skipping them" he said impatiently.

"This will only take a few minutes" I smirked.

I sat on the abandon music desk his eyes were on me again. If only I could see how fantastic I look right now.

"Cole I know you want me" I laughed.

"Your kidding right" he said rolling his eyes. He's so full of it.

"I'm pretty, I'm smart, I'm popular" I said getting closer to him.

With every word I walked a step closer.

"How can you resist" I said. Are faces were inches apart and surprisingly he didn't move.

"Maggie" Cole gulped.

I bit my lip smirking. He so wants me.

"Kiss me" I said as our noses touched.

"No! He said backing up.

"Maggie I don't want you! I don't like you! I don't care that your popular! That doesn't matter at all. Once we are out of this shitty school you won't be miss popular, popularity doesn't mean anything outside of this building so get over yourself! I like Bri so stop trying to change my feelings for her, because it won't happen."

He's such a moron. How can he like that skank. He should want someone pretty like me not some ugly rat like Bri.

"You sure I can't change your feeling?" I sneered showing him the picture of Bri kissing that guy.

"Oh my god"

He looked more hurt then i expected and I almost felt bad. Almost.

"Dana?" He gasped. I have never seen him this emotional. But I like it.

"Listen I'm here for you" I said hugging Cole. Surprisingly he hugged me back.

Before I let go I leaned in and kissed him.

Bri's POV

I grabbed my World History text book and sprinted to my class. I was going to be so late. It was all the way in the North Wing of the high school and I was in the South Wing. I turned a corner (shortcut) and stopped.

Something caught my eye.

I looked into the little door window of the music room. Why was Cole hugging Maggie.

To get a better look I pushed the door open a tiny bit. My jaw dropped. I can't believe it. I new it. I new it was to good to be true. I watched Maggie's lips hit Coles. I tried to fight the tears but I just couldn't, I dropped my books and ran to the bathroom tears streaming down my hot cheeks.

My life was normal a few weeks ago and now I keep finding myself swimming in tears.

Coles POV

"Your insane!" I said pushing Maggie off of me.

"You seriously need to see somebody about your obsession Maggie!" I yelled.

As I walked out of the room I tripped over somebodies books. I picked them up and read the name label.

"Bri!" I gasped.

She must have seen Maggie kiss me! My head was spinning, she will never be able to forgive me after this.

"Didn't she dump you" my conscious budded in.

I know Bri and I aren't really talking but I still really like her and I know she still likes me. I don't understand how she could just dump me like that..with no explanation.

I picked up her books and put them in my backpack. Whenever I see her I'll give them back to her.

Sadly I didn't see her for the rest of the day. Which sucked because just being able to look at her makes my whole day. I know it's stupid but she really makes me a better person.

"Bri wait up!" I yelled as she left the school.

She didn't hear me. This day couldn't not get any worse.

I thought maybe Maggie was lying, but I new she couldn't be anymore serious once I saw Bri walk up to Dana.

Why is Dana picking her up from school?! Are they a thing now?

Anger washed over me. I clenched my fists and walked up to them.

"What is this?!" I said pushing Dana.

"Chill what's your problem" Dana said pushing me back.

I was so done.

"Your supposed to be my best friend!" I screamed tackling Dana.

"What the fuck dude!" Dana said punched me in the face.

My fist smashed into his face two times harder. I felt my knuckle bust open.

Dana threw me off him and pulled me to my feet.

"You need to calm the fuck down Cole, seriously this is nothing like you." Dana said disgusted.

I felt my face heat up. I literally don't know why I did that. I have never gotten into a fight like this let alone with my best friend. My knuckle was full of blood and both my head began to pound.

"I'm sorry" is all I could say. I looked at Bri for forgiveness but she looked completely horrified.
