Chapter 13

*phone rings*
"Ready for the lake house?" Cole said as I answered my phone.

"Yup! I'm sorry if you didn't want to do this" I apologized.

"No it will be fun! Now come down stairs I want to leave" Cole said.

I looked out my window to see Cole leaning against his car.

I grabbed my bag and headed down the stairs not even bothering to leave a note for her.

The house was astonishing, surrounded by trees and a long calm lake with a rope swing.

"Oh my god Cole!" I was speechless.

We took our bags inside the house. It was kind of like a gigantic log cabin. With wooden furniture and old paintings hanging on the walls.

"I'll put your stuff in my room for now" Cole said grabbing my bags for me and placing them in his room"

His room was pretty big with many things from when he was younger scattered along the room.

"Put your bathing suit on we are going swimming" Cole said smirking.

I grabbed my stuff and went to the bathroom to change. When I had my bikini on I looked at my reflection in the mirror covering my stomach with my hands awkwardly.

I felt a knot in my stomach..what if he thinks I look fat.

I grabbed a shirt and put it over my bikini and walked onto the back porch where Cole was waiting in his swim trunks.

I looked at his toned abs I felt myself blushing.

"Your wearing that shirt in the lake?" Cole laughed.

I looks down at my feet.
"I don't know"

I gathered up all my courage and took the shirt off revealing my awkward body.

I felt Coles eyes on me so I put my hands over my stomach as natural as possible.

Cole suddenly picked me up and ran towards the lake carrying me into the cold water.

"It's so cold!" I squealed.

Cole tossed me into the lake and I screamed plugging my nose.

"Cole it's freezing" I said covering my stomach again.

Cole swam over and grabbed my arms removing them from my stomach. I squirmed trying to hide my body.

He intertwined our fingers and pulled me closer to him.

"Your beautiful" he whispered looking down at me.

I looked up at his hazel eyes and smiled.

"You two are so cute!" Coles mom came running out the back door with a camera in her hand.

Cole gave me an apologetic smile and pulled me out of the lake with him.

"I took a picture of you two just now I hope you don't mind it was just so adorable, oh young love" his mom sighed smiling at me.

Cole put his hands over his face to keep from laughing. His mom was really great and I loved that she supported our relationship so much.

"Let's try not to embarrass Cole this weekend" Coles father said putting his arm around his wife.

I smiled at Cole who mouthed a thank you to his father.

Cole and I went upstairs to change and shower.

Cole was in the shower while I sat on the bathroom counter brushing my hair. I walked over to the closet to get a towel..but their was none left. Out of nowhere Cole pulled me into his shower.

"Cole what are you-"

I was cut off my Cole putting his hand over my mouth.

"I forgot to put towels in the closet honey!" Coles mom said knocking on the door.

My eyes widened. Oh my god did his mom hear me?! It would be so embarrassing if she new I was in the shower to.

"Okay just leave it by the door" Cole answered his mom.

"Okay..Cole wheres Bri?" His mom asked concerned.

I looked up at him frantically and he smiled.

"Probably in the guest bathroom" he answered casually.

I turned around to face him laughing quietly.

I leaned against the cold wet wall and Cole kissed me moving his tongue into my mouth and connecting our lips slowly.

It wasn't until that point that I realized he was naked and we were in a shower making out. My heart began to race and I ran my fingers through his hair.

He moved his fingers to my bathing suit top and unclipped it. I froze and pulled away from him. I looked at him for a second and shook my head grabbing a towel from outside of the door and going into the guest bedroom.

I felt like such an idiot. I put on a sweatshirt and some sweatpants and tied my hair up in a bun.

I laid on the guest bed scrolling through Instagram and I felt this weird uncomfortable feeling like maybe I shouldn't have come to the lake house.

I bit my lip to hold back the tears that filled my eyes. Maybe I made a mistake..dating Cole. What if he just wanted to get in my pants or something.

A light knock on the door snapped me from my thoughts. I stared at the wall not bothering to open the door.

"Bri" Coles voice came through the door.

"I'm busy" I said curling up into a ball.

I heard Coles feet walking slowly to my bed.

"I wasn't trying to pressure you into anything Bri I'm sorry I love you so much" he said wrapping his arms around me.

I rubbed in a small circle on Coles hand. I felt my heart giving in as Cole pulled my closer to him.

I turned to face him and smiled. He brushed the hair out of my face and kissed my nose.

"I love you so much Briella" Cole said putting his hands through my hair.

I laid my head on his chest as he put his fingers through my hair.

My eyes began to feel heavy and I soon found myself falling asleep.
