I might have done a bad job of the court scene so if I have feel free to correct me.

Dedicated to Miles-Riley for being a good boy (MOST OF THE TIME), his support, his love and for being goofy just to bring a smile to my face. You mean the world to me so thank you for everything that you do.

Cooper's POV
Three weeks later

"All rise."

I took a deep breath as I stood up.

Today was the day the jury was going to find Isabelle guilty or not guilty of her crimes.

When the judge came out of his chamber everyone in the courtroom sat down.

"Have the jury reached a verdict?"

"We have your honor."

"How do you find the defendant of attempted murder?"

"We the jury find the defendant guilty."

I reached over and grabbed Davina's hand and gave it a gentle squeeze.

"How do you find the defendant of premeditated murder?"

"We find the defendant....not guilty."

To say I was upset was an understatement. How could they not think she was guilty of premeditated murder?

I didn't bother to listen to what was being said.

I let go of Davina's hand and started walking out of the courtroom.

"Cooper..." My sister Natalie said.

"Let him go Natalie." I heard Davina say.

Thank God because I needed space right now.

Natalie came today to show her support and I apprentice it, but I need time to think.

I waited outside in the freezing cold.

After a while, I felt a hand on my shoulder.

I turned around and it was Davina.

"I'm happy that you got your justice," I said.

"It's okay to be upset that you didn't get your justice."

"I can't believe after what they heard from Tyler and from me they still didn't find her guilty of planning a murder."

"I know I'm pretty pissed off about that. I hope this doesn't make you rethink about studying law?"

"It doesn't if anything it makes me even more determined to put away guilty people."

"Come on let's get your sister back to school and you home. I'll get Natalie because she is still inside."

She passed me her car keys.

"You can walk to the car. That way you'll have more time for yourself."

"Thank you," I said and kissed her cheek.

I walked to her car, unlocking it with her keys and got into the passenger side waiting for her and Natalie to get in.

They arrived a few minutes later.'

I handed Davina her car keys.

"Cooper I am so sorry," Natalie said.

"It's okay. I'm sorry for just leaving the courtroom like that but I needed space."

"I understand."

Davina started up the car.

"I'm driving you straight to school Missy and no more skipping class from here on out!" Davina said to my sister.
