Chapter 14

"Where are you?" Davina asked when I picked up my cell.

While Elisa secretary was in the meeting however, her assistant was not and she was getting on my nerves! She kept staring at me and even flirted with me! So I decided to wander around the building.

"Around and I'm sorry for not staying put but your mom's assistant was getting on my nerves! She was hitting on me and it was making me uncomfortable."

Davina giggled.

"Are you scared of a woman Cooper?"

"I am scared of you but no one else!"

"Not sure if I should take that as a compliment or not."

I felt a tap on my shoulder I thought it was going to be Davina but when I turned around it was Kaleb.

"Is that Namoi you are talking too?" He asked.

"Yeah."

"Can I borrow your phone?"

I gave him my phone.

"Hey Little Rabbit I found him, I'll escort him back into your not so capable hands!"

He pushed the end call and I laughed.

"At least you are in trouble and not me!" I said

"I don't know about that Bud, she was pretty furious when you weren't sitting in that chair."

"But I gave her a reason why I wasn't where I should have been so there!"

"I have a personal question to ask you."

"Go ahead."

"Is she....tough on you?"

"What do you mean?"

"The things she is into...does she at least treat you somewhat like a human being?"

"Are you worried about me or something?"

"No, no just curious that's all."

"It's all consensual just so you know."

"Yeah I know, I read some stuff about it."

"Davina is somewhat tough on me, yes but she takes care of me, makes me feel special and does treat me like a human being compared to someone she was friends with."

"The woman who shot her I'm guessing you are referring too."

"Yeah...she told you?"

"Namoi is the closest to a sister I'm going to get and I'm probably the closest thing to a brother she is going to have, so we tell each other almost everything."

We got back to Elisa office. And I quickly apologized for leaving.

"I truly am sorry for not being where I should have been."

"It's not you, I have a bone to pick with!"

Kaleb grinned.

"I love you!"

"I love you too but you know very well I'm a capable person!"

"You let your boy toy out your sight for a couple of minutes and he wanders off! Sorry for calling you a boy toy Cooper."

"It's okay, I like being her eye candy!" I said with a grin.

Kaleb laughed while Davina rolled her eyes at my comment.

"It's not my fault that he doesn't listen very well!"

"Maybe you need to train him better!"
