(TAEHYUN'S POV)
I still remember when I was little, I had a best friend that I've known since we were babies. I remember when Y/n and I would walk to school together. And we go straight to each other's houses to play during weekends. The last time I saw her was the day before she moved to America. We were around 10-years old and we both played outside together one last time until night came. But later in the afternoon, it started to rain. Which meant our time together had come to an end earlier than we hoped it would be. I was really frustrated by this so I refused to go back indoors.
"Tae, you have to go home." Y/n scolded me, "You'll get sick under the rain!"
I stubbornly crossed my arms, "I don't wanna leave."
"But we're gonna get wet if we stay outside..." Y/n was still so concerned about the weather.
"I know what to do." I took my jacket off and used it to cover our heads. I proudly grinned at her, "See? We can still stay outside."
"I don't know..." Y/n had some doubts, "I think your jacket's going to get ruined."
"That's okay." I shrugged it off, even if it was my favorite jacket. "Are you excited for the states?"
Y/n's face lit up when I brought it up, which bothered me a little, "Yeah! Mommy said we're going to live in New York! The place where there's a big green lady with the fire stick!"
As she kept talking about America, I was in awe for how exciting she made it sound. When she had nothing more to say, I asked her, "Will you miss Korea?"
She pondered for a moment, "Not really. Just a little, I think."
I nodded in understanding. I didn't realize it at first because I thought the jacket was already leaking but then I realized the water came from my eyes.
She turned to face me, surprised at what she saw, "Taehyun, why are you crying?"I tried to look like I wasn't but I was whimpering, "Y/n, will you miss me?"
"Of course I will, Tae! You're my best friend in the whole wide world."
I started to sob, "I don't want you to leave!"
Y/n couldn't say a thing but hug me. I hugged her back and that's how I remember the last time I was with her. Fast forward to today, a new student came to my school and she really looked just like Y/n. It had to be her. She also came from America too. The reason why I wasn't sure it really was her was because she didn't recognize me every time we had eye-contact.
"Kang Taehyun," one of my teachers spoke to me, "The new student is rusty at her Korean since she's lived in the states for seven years. Do you mind if I assign you as her tutor?"
I kindly agreed to it and went to library to meet with the new student. She still hasn't recognized me. Even if I introduced myself.
She kindly shook my hand, "Nice to meet you! I'm Y/l/n Y/n."
"Should we get started now?" I asked her.
"Yes, we can." Y/n smiled at me and sat down on her seat.
I couldn't believe it. She's forgotten all about me. I thought to myself.
Weeks later, I still help Y/n with her Korean. She's improving but her memories of me were still nowhere to be seen. When our lesson ended, she talked to me a bit before we parted ways.
