BEOMGYU'S POV

"Ugh... I'm so single." I sighed, my face pressed against my desk.

Y/n sat on the desk next to mine, checking her homework while waiting for the teacher to show up. "Didn't you have a girlfriend yesterday? Meg, or something..."

"Yeah, but like..." I lifted my head up, resting my chin on my hand. "She was kinda weird. And clingy."

"She's the eighth girlfriend you had this week, Beomgyu. You can't just date girls to break up with them later." Y/n rolled her eyes as she erased a mistake, rewriting her answer.

"It's not my fault I steal hearts so easily. I mean, look at this face!" I pointed at himself, flashing a charming smile... which left her unimpressed. Y/n focused on her work again, finding it more interesting than me.

"Seriously?" I huffed, my back leaned against my chair. "You're heartless, Y/n!"

"Hey. I've had my share of crushes."

"Not boyfriends, apparently- Ouch!" I yelped when her eraser hit me.

"Look, I don't pick people to fall in love with like it's a menu in a restaurant."

"But how can you not be drooling over me right now? It's been a year since we've been seat mates."

"Yeah, that's because I hate your guts." She sarcastically gave me a sweet smile.

"See? This is why you're single."

I wish I could take back my words because she ignored me the moment I said that. I felt really bad. After a short silence, I had an idea and spoke again. "Okay, I got a proposition for an experiment."

"I'm already terrified but that statement." Y/n shuddered.

"Shh, listen! So, here's the thing. We try dating for a month-"

"What?!"

"-ONLY to prove either one of two things. That every girl does fall for me, including you or that you're actually a dateable person. here's the only rule. We can't fall in love with each other."

"Geez, you and your big ego... And what do I gain from that?" She pointed her pencil at me.

"If you fall for me, I win and you owe me a favor. If I fall for you, then I owe you one."

"Choi Beomgyu? Doing my bidding? Why not?" Y/n shook my hand to confirm the deal. But I didn't let go of her hand right away. Instead I pressed my lips, kissing the top of her hand. She looked surprised by my action but looked away. Seeing the flustered look in her face, I know I'm totally going to win this thing.

"Hope you like losing, Y/n~"

Almost four weeks later...
Once the last class for today ended, I waited outside of school and once I see Y/n exit, I greeted her at the school's entrance, "I got something planned for us today."

"You sure you can't postpone it?" She asked, walking by my side. "I have some homework-"

"Come on, Y/n. It's Friday! And today's the last day of our bet."

"Fine, fine. Okay..."

She shook her head, smiling, and I grabbed her hand. I dragged Y/n to her favorite cafe place.

She doesn't know it yet, but I already lost the bet.

During the past four weeks, I've ended up learning new things about Y/n. She's actually sweet and funny and everything she does makes my heart race. And that doesn't usually happen... But I'm pretty sure she'll laugh at me if I told her I lost the bet.

She was sipping on her drink while we sat outside of the place. She giggled, which was the prettiest sound ever, and waved a hand at my face.

"Dude, you're spacing out."

"Oh." I chuckled then drummed my fingers on the table. "Sorry, I was just thinking..."

"About what?" She set her drink down and raised an eyebrow.

"Uh... Well, we're going to break up tomorrow so... I'm just wondering who won the bet."

"Ah." She thought about it for a moment, "I don't know, have you fallen for me?"

Absolutely. "Well, how about you? Have you fallen for me?"

She hit my arm and I laughed, "Hey! I asked you first!"

"Okay, let's answer with yes or no at the same time?"

She bit her lip, to think things through, then she nodded.

"Okay, ready? 1.... 2... 3!"

"Yes."

...

None of us said no.

We stared in complete silence. The only thing we looked at was each other.

"So..." I tried to kill the quiet between us, "Who gets to do the favor?"

She blinked at me, "Maybe both of us?"

"O-Okay..." Suddenly, my confidence left me. "Um, what do you want me to do-"

"Kiss me?"

"I- Uh- Huh?"

She moved her chair closer to mine and she pecked me in the lips. A faint blush filled her cheeks. I quickly recovered from the shock and placed my hand at the back of her neck, pulling her close to me. Closing the gap between us, I kissed her lips softly.

When we pulled away, she leaned against the back of chair and gulped, "W-Wow..."

I wanted to say something cocky or something funny but I was too occupied with how her lips felt. And I only managed to let out a weak, "Y-Yeah."

"So, uh-" She lightly chuckled, rubbing the back of her neck, then smiled, "What do you want me to do for you?"

I was lucky, however, to regain my confidence when she said that. "Go our with me?"

She scoffed, as if I was joking, but her expression softened when she realized I was serious, "You actually... like me? I-I mean, don't you consider this as a downgrade or something-"

"What?!" I almost yelled a little too loudly, "Absolutely not. I literally don't want to be with any other girl since I've met you."

"I mean, are you sure? I don't want to get hurt-"

I cupped her face and looked deeply into her eyes, "Y/n. I swear, on everything and anything, I don't want to date a girl who isn't you. So, please, will you go out with me? For real, this time?"

She nodded and our lips connected once more.
