(YEONJUN'S POV)

I didn't expect anything eventful today. It was a Saturday and I had no plans so I spent the whole day playing video games.
I heard the door unlock and open, it startled me a little but I had a feeling who was coming in.

"YEONJUN!" Ringed the familiar voice.

"Living room!" I answered the obnoxiously loud girl.

Y/n raced into the living room and hopped on my couch, "Yeonjun, Yeonjun, guess what?!"

I paused my game and turned around to face her, "I thought we agreed you'd use the spare key for emergencies? And get off the couch!"

She jumped one more time to sit down and smiled widely, "Yeah, but this is important! And as my best friend, I'm required to tell you everything!"

I sighed and sat next to her on my couch, "Good point. What's up?"

"He asked me out!" She squealed and blushed, hugging a throw pillow tightly.

"He did?!" I gasped and chuckled excitedly, grabbing her by the shoulders. "Beomgyu finally asked you out?!"

"Yes!" She melted and made the goofiest smile, "I can't believe this is happening..."

"Well, I know you liked him for so long and I'm so happy for you!"

She suddenly gasped, "Which reminds me, I have to get ready!"

"Say hi to him for me! Also, I recommend you wear that yellow dress. The one you wore last week? It was really beautiful on you."

"Thanks, Yeonjun." She wrapped her arms around me and kissed me on the cheek, "I don't know what I'd do without you."

I waved goodbye to her as she quickly skipped outside to leave. Once I heard the door close and lock, I grabbed my controller and continued playing.
Suddenly, my vision started to blur. And I felt tears... I must be playing too much video games. I decided to pause the game again and walk around. But my eyes were still watering. My cheeks started to get wet. I kept wiping it off. But then I realized I can't stop thinking about what happened.
No. Yeonjun, no, you're not supposed to cry.

I walked into a bathroom and stared at my reflection. I thought about it again and I felt my heart shattered as more tears continued to run.
How could you be so selfish? You're supposed to be happy for her.

But I really am happy for her. I genuinely wanted this for her. I wanted her to find someone who could fill the hole in heart after all she's went through.

But I wasn't enough to fill that hole in her heart. Maybe that's what hurt me.

I slowly started to sob softly, my hands gripping onto the bathroom sink.
And maybe it's because I really wanted to fill up the empty space she felt inside.

Because Y/n was the only one who could fill the empty space in my own heart.
