I sat in a corner around the library, hoping that I was blending into the background. I wish I could've stayed completely quiet but I couldn't help but laugh aloud as I read the book I held in my hands. I immediately covered my mouth once I let out a loud, sudden "HAHA" then remembered I was in a library. I prayed that no one heard me but when I looked up to see someone giggling at me, my prayer seemed to be pointless. A tall boy with dark hair had a small smile spread across his face, looking right at me. My heart panicked and I buried my face into my book, melting from my humiliation.

Once school ended for today, I sat on the grass of my school's front yard. I wanted to finish my book yesterday but I couldn't bring myself to that library, worried that I would see the boy again. So, today I brought a another one I haven't read yet. Sitting alone, I began to read a new book. I focused on each paragraph, reading and imagining the described visuals. Enjoying the dialogue. And I would re-read my favorite parts. Suddenly, I hear someone clearing their throat. I looked up to see the tall boy from yesterday, smiling at me.
I yelped, very surprised by him, dropping my book in the process.

"Oh! Shoot- I'm so sorry-" The tall boy apologetically picked up the book.

"N-No, it's okay. You just startled me..." I gently took my book back from him, taking the short moment as an opportunity to admire his features.

"Ah, I didn't mean to..." He rubbed the back of his neck, giving me a shy smile. "Actually, I was looking for you."

"Oh?" I looked down, hiding my blushing face. "Why?" I realized my bookmark fell with my book when my eyes were on the ground.

"I was going to ask what book you were reading the other day but I was debating if I should disturb you or not." He glanced at the grass and noticed my bookmark and picked it up for me. "But then suddenly, you took off and I didn't get the chance to ask."

I slowly took the bookmark from him, "Really? Sorry, I left early cause' my laugh was embarrassing."

He chuckled softly, "But whatever you were reading sounded like it was hilarious. You actually caught my attention before you noticed me. I saw you smiling really hard and snickering even. I wanted to see what was so funny."

I started to feel butterflies, smiling dumbly as I told him the title of the book.

"Sounds like a good title. I'll look for it!" He cleared his throat again, I could've sworn he was blushing now, "By the way, what's your name? I'm Soobin."

"Y/n."

"Y/n..." He repeated and he nodded, "Got it. Anyway, I have to go. I'll see you tomorrow around school." He waved at me and I said my goodbye.

But as he walked away, he stopped in his tracks and slowly turned to me. "By the way, Y/n?"

"Yeah?"

"I think your laugh's really cute. Like you."
