Two Month Later
Amelia gets up, gets dressed and grabs breakfast. Once she eats, she goes back into her room and brushes her teeth, running her brush through her hair one last time as she grabs her keys, phone, and purse and goes out to her jeep.

Amelia gets in her jeep, looks at her phone and texts Alex.
Am: Hey. Going to therapy appointment. I love you and have a good day at the shop. I'll text you when I'm done. I think today is going to be a long one. Might need ice cream and cuddles later.
Al: Hey. I love you too. I can definitely do ice cream and cuddles tonight :)
Amelia smiles at the text and starts driving to her therapist office. She turns on the radio and sings along to the song that currently playing. She stops at a stop light, changing the radio station. The light turns green and Amelia keeps driving, singing along with the radio. She pulls up outside the therapist office, shuts off the jeep and gets out. She goes inside, sits in the waiting area. Shortly after, the therapist calls Amelia's name and Amelia goes into the office, turning her phone off.
"Hey Amelia. How are you doing today?" Nancy, Amelia's therapist, asks as she sits in her chair.
"Today is one of the good days, Nancy. I've had some bad days since the last time we talked, but Alex has really stepped up and helped me. I think it's mainly from the stress over still not having a verdict in the trial. I'm really hoping it comes soon, because I don't know how much more stress I can handle." Amelia answers, as she sits on the couch. Nancy makes a few notes, looking up and gives her a small smile.
"How are things with Alex and the kids going?" Nancy asks.
"They.. they're really good. Jake and Addie get along so well that you can't even tell they haven't always known each other. Alex is so amazing with Jake, it's almost like Alex is his father. I could never ask Alex to do that, though. I love Alex, with everything I have but that is something I can never ask him to do. Like he won't ask me to step up and be Addie's mom, but I do all the mom stuff for her anyways." Amelia replies, fidgeting with her hands. Nancy makes a few more notes.
"How are you feeling with the slight possibility that Dylan might get away with everything he's done to you?" Nancy asks, cautiously.
"I.. I have no feelings about it at this point. I have to move on from everything he's ever done to me. I have to put it behind me, and Alex is helping me with that. We spend quality time together, doing things other than worrying about the trial. He's.. Alex has gotten me back into drawing and signing along to music, and just smiling all the time. It's really the little things he does for me that make me smile the most. I feel genuinely happy now. He even gave me this tattoo.." Amelia remarks, holding out her wrist with the semi-colon tattoo. "He told me that its because I could have ended my life, but I kept going. I am so, so grateful for him in so many ways."
