When Jeongguk wakes up, he can only presume it's the next day, except- it's completely dark in the apartment.

He has an awful crick in his neck that pulls uncomfortably as he sits up, one hand supporting his weight and the other on his neck.

He looks around and sees that he fell asleep by the door, though he doesn't remember that part.

He does remember Taehyung, but he immediately pushes it back down, forcing himself not to cry again.

Jeongguk weakly stands, leaning all his weight on the front door as he locks it, making sure that no one with a key can get in.

With a heavy sigh, he slumps to the couch, too tired to move to his bed.

He flicks on the TV and drops the remote carelessly on the ground before he reaches around for his phone.

The light of the screen temporarily blinds him as he squints, trying to turn the brightness down before he can blink the color specks away and see properly.

The time reads eight at night, meaning that he's not only slept through multiple alarms but has also missed work. And he can't even begin to care.

There's a voicemail from Jimin, and another from work, but he doesn't even have the energy to listen to them.

He just drops the phone and tugs the blanket that lays over the back of the couch onto him as he curls up, eagerly accepting sleep once more as the TV silently flickers in front of him.
