Deku x Reader

Chapter 8

I feel myself bust through glass as the building lands on me. I cough as dust settles around me. I look around. I appear to be in one of the rooms in the building. I sigh with relief. If one of the walls or steel supports had landed on me then I would have been crushed. I was lucky to have a glass wall land on me. I feel the scratches from the glass that cut my back. I walk around the small space. I see a small light coming from the wall. I walk over there and begin to dig my way out. I can reach my hand out and wave it around. The rubble blocking the hole is too heavy for me to lift. All I can do is wait until someone comes to help me out. I check over myself and discover a sizable gash in my leg. I dig through my pockets until I find a jukebox. I sip on it and feel some of the pain subside. I know that it won't be fully healed, but it will bleed less. Eventually, I hear voices. I start yelling out hoping that I will be heard. The voices get closer and the wall opens up. I climb out to find Cementos. I walk up to him. "I think your test is a little dangerous." The people around me gape as I walk towards the gate. "Wait, Recovery Girl can give you medical attention." I look back and shake my head. "I can heal myself. Thanks though!" I start to head home. I think I did well on my test. I sense someone walk up behind me. I turn to see the glue boy from before. "Thank you so much! You saved my life twice! How can I ever thank you?" I looked into his eyes. "The gratitude is enough." He smiles. "Thanks again!" I nod and turn. "I hope you make it into U.A." I then walk home so I can take care of my injuries.

~time Skip~ man there are way too many of these.

I jump up and down excitedly as I watch the hologram that says that I made it into U.A. I start heading over to Izuku's house. He hasn't told me anything about the exam except that he suddenly manifested a quirk. I was so excited. I skip as I head to his house. I knock on his door. He comes out smiling with tears in his eyes. "I made it into U.A." I gasped. "So did I!" We hug then start talking about how great U.A. is going to be. I go to sleep that night as happy as I could be.

The next day our principle congratulates Izuku, Bakugo, and I. I walk away from Bakugo and Izuku afterward. I look behind me and see that they are gone. It makes me worried. I follow Izuku's scent and see that Bakugo has cornered Izuku against the wall. I stalk forwards and grab his shoulder. "So, what's going on here." My words are calm, but dripping with anger. Bakugo turns and slaps my hand off of his shoulder. "This doesn't concern you!"

I laugh. "Are you angry that he got into U.A.? Izuku worked his ass off to get into that school. You can suck it up and accept that because you can't stop him from going." Bakugo was raging. "Don't you Fucking tell me what to do! I am a hell of a lot stronger than you two and did a hell of a lot more work too. I'm going to become the number one hero." I put my hands on my hips. "Ok, what about the entrance exam? You left me and that kid to die! How would you have felt if I had died because you were too selfish to help? I don't exactly call that a road to being number one hero." I held up my hand. "I broke almost every finger in my hand, but still had the strength to get him to safety while you worried about getting points." I got really close to Bakugo's face. "I was faced with a decision that day. I could choose to save myself or him. I chose him and ended up having a building fall on my head." I grabbed Izuku's arm. And turned away from him. "Ask yourself this Bakugo. Would you have saved yourself or the other person?"

We left Bakugo standing beside the school. "You didn't tell me anything about a building." I sighed. "Yeah, the zero point robot knocked a building down. We both couldn't make it out in time so I threw the guy outside of the building range." I just realized that I didn't catch his name. "Y/N, tell me when something goes on like that." I nodded. "I know, it's just that I didn't want you to worry." He sighed. "You never change," I smirked. "You know it!" I looked to the side. And saw an alley with close walls. Without warning, I scooped Izuku up and started jumping up the walls of the alley.

I landed on the top of the nearest building. "Y/N, put me down!" I looked down at Izuku who was trying to get me to drop him. "Hold on for a second." I started running along the rooftops. I jumped over a particularly wide alley. "Y/N!" I giggled. "Don't worry, we're almost there." I reach the end of the rooftops, but don't stop running. We start falling at a fast rate. I land in a nearby tree then drop to the ground. I continue running for a good 10 minutes before I stop. "Can you put me down now?" I nod and set him down. He instantly turns on me. "Y/N! Why did you do that? You could have gotten really hurt! What-" I put my finger on his lips. I grab his hand and push through some bushes.

We are at a small stream in the forest. There is a steaming pool and a bunch of bamboo. I sit on the ground in front of the pool. "I come out here to clear my mind. I found it last week when I was exercising." Midoriya nodded then felt the water. "It is like a hot spring. I went swimming here one time. The water is a little deeper than it looks." I kick off my shoes and lay my feet in the water to enjoy the warmth. Izuku does likewise. I look at the stream. "The cold stream water cools off the pool so it isn't too hot. The deeper the water the hotter it is." He nods. I soon forget they he is beside me and start humming. The sounds of the birds and the trickling of the water soon lull me to sleep.

I wake up later to find the sky in varying shades of pink and purple. Izuku is asleep beside me. I smile and collect some flowers. I start weaving them together to make a kind of flower crown. I set it on his sleeping head. I decide to leave him and walk around the forest. I hum then eventually start singing. My voice rings amongst the trees. I feel free and happy. I wish life was like this every day. I turn and head back to the pool. Izuku is still asleep. I carefully pick him up and begin carrying him back to the city. I reach his house and gently knock on the door. Inko answers. I hold a finger to my lips then carry him to his room. I drop him on his bed then go to his living area. "He fell asleep so I carried him home." Inko nodded. "Thank You for bringing him back home." I nodded. "Your welcome."

I silently walk to U.A. I am so excited about class. It's going to be great! Izuku had left early so I didn't walk with him. I walked through the door of the classroom kind of late. The teacher wasn't here yet. Izuku talked to a brown-haired girl for a while then was spooked by someone in the hall. They looked like some kind of caterpillar. It was just a sleeping bag though. I internally laughed. The person inside the sleeping bag was a sight for sore eyes. He looked depressed and tired. All I could think of was wow. I don't know how this guy could be our teacher.

He explained they we would have quirk assessment tests today. I think I did ok. I was surprised by Izuku's quirk though. I was surprised by Izuku's quirk though. It was insane. It hurt his finger though. After the test, I looked at the scoreboard. I ranked 7th. I scanned to see who was last. I was horrified to see that it was Izuku. I looked at Aizawa Sensei. He said that he lied about the last place participant being expelled. I gave a sigh of relief. That scared me.

~time skip~ couple weeks later

We're going on a field trip today! I am so excited. I quickly climb on the bus and sit in a seat beside Izuku. I rest my shoulder against his.

It shows a little too much skin, but it allows me to move around very quickly. We pull up to our destination. The place is huge. We walk inside and are greeted by the rescue hero 13. He walks us around and tells us that this place is called the USJ. We are about to go downstairs when a portal of some sort opens in the middle of the area. I ran forwards and was greeted by the sight of villains pouring out of the portal. Aizawa Sensei told 13 to keep us safe then went down to fight. I turned to Izuku just as a warp villain appeared. He didn't appear to have a solid body. 13 uses his quirk, but it backfires and he uses his quirk on himself. I run over to Izuku and grab his arm. If I have to fight then I'm going to make sure he is protected.

I feel myself falling. I drop down somewhere in the facility. I look around and see Izuku still in my grasp. There are villains surrounding us. I turn to Izuku. "We're going to have to fight."
