Summary: Peter's school has a day called inspiration day where they dress up as someone they admire. And Tony finds out Peter thinks of him as a father.

Peter's POV

I was sitting in the second class of the day on Monday when an announcement came over the loud speaker. "Good morning students, if you have read the notices about the school you will know that Inspiration Day is coming up on Thursday. Remember to dress up as someone that you are inspired by and prepare a small talk about who they are to you. Thank You."

Inspiration Day. My favourite day of the year. Not. I never know who to dress up as because I don't look up to anyone. For the rest of the day, I think about who I should go as this year. Ned's going as George Walton Lucas Jr., the creator of Star Wars, and MJ is going as her mum, one of the leading nurses at the hospital nearby.

"Who are you going to go as for Inspiration Day?" Ned asks me at lunch. "I don't know, there's no one I look up to."
"What about Mr Stark, you always talk about him like you want to be like him?" I ponder for a moment, thinking about it.

"Yeah, I'm going to go as Mr Stark this year!" Ned smiles at me and MJ just looks up from her book.

Tony's POV

"Hey Mr Stark, I'm back from school!" I hear the cheerful voice of Peter say.

"Hey kiddo, what are you so excited for?" I ask him as I walk out of the kitchen with a cup of coffee. "It's Inspiration Day at school on Thursday and I finally know who I want to go as."

"And who might that be? If you say Cap, I'm disowning you." He might think I'm joking but I'm being completely honest.

"No, I'm not going as Mr America, I want to go as you, so I was wondering if I could borro-" I cut him off, not wanting him to wear an iron suit.

"You are NOT wearing an Iron Man suit to school!" I tell him. He gives me a confused look then continues with what he was going to say.

"Actually, I was wondering if I could borrow your sunglasses, a tie and maybe you could take me shopping?"

I freeze and don't know what to say. This innocent kid, who loves Iron Man, wants to go as me for Inspiration Day?

"W...What?" I whisper, tears building up in my eyes.

"Mr Stark? I'm sorry. Was it something I said?" I walk up to him and hug him. "Yeah, I'll take you shopping. You can even wear my favourite sunglasses if you want." He looks surprised that I've offered him what I did.

Peter's POV

Mr Stark took me shopping and I got a new, grey suit and tie. He also gave me his red and black sunglasses, his signature ones. So on Thursday morning, I was ready for Inspiration Day. I had my hair gelled to look like Mr Starks and shoes that were too small for him. I peeked at the mirror and I looked like Mr Stark, only younger.

When I arrived at school in a limo driven by Happy, I immediately got whispers and stares from the students around me. I found Ned and MJ waiting by the front doors of the school. "Hey Mr Stark, where's Peter?" Ned joked. MJ rolled her eyes at us. She was dressed in her mums' clothes that don't fit her anymore and had her hair pulled into a neat bun. Ned, however, looked just like George Walton Lucas Jr.

The bell went so we all went to class to begin our talks. Flash walked past me dressed as his dad, in a black suit. His hair had so much gel in it, it looked greasy. "So Penis, who are you dressed up as for today? I'm my dad because he works at Stark Industries unlike anyone you know."

I just ignored him and continued on my way to class. "Good morning Peter."

"Good morning Ms Mason," one of Peter's favourite teachers was running Inspiration Day and was greeting everyone at the door. Once everyone was seated, Ms Mason came to the front of the class and announced the order of the people saying their little speeches.

Third Person POV

Six people had gone and now it was Peter's turn. He took a deep breath before walking up to the front of the room.

"Uh, Hi everyone. I-" he took one more deep breath before starting his well-prepared speech. "I have dressed up as Mr Stark today because I look up to him more than anyone else in this world. He is a great role-model and is incredibly smart. He's an amazing mentor and helps me whenever I need it in the internship. He has helped me develop as a person and I thank him for everything he's taught me whether it's for building, designing, coding and even fighting. It's great having him in my life and I can't wait to see what the future will be like with him as my daaaa-" Peter stops himself before he makes a mistake in front of his class. "Th...That's all."

The erupts into applause as he goes to sit down in his seat. By the time he's sitting down, the next person is already standing up and getting ready to talk. "That was awesome man!" Ned whispers to Peter. "Thanks. Do you think I messed up too bad with the Dad thing at the end?"

"Nah, you're good."

---Location/POV Change---

Tony's POV

I was sitting in the lab listening to Peter make his speech about me because I put a microphone on the sunglasses but nobody needs to know that. "- and I can't wait to see what the future will be like with him as my daaaa-" Peter doesn't finish his sentence but Tony is pretty sure he knows what he was going to say. He opens his phone and sends a text message to Peter that he will receive on his watch.

Peter's POV

I feel a slight buzz on my left wrist and when I look down at my watch I notice a message from Mr Stark. "I know I shouldn't have but I was listening to you through the sunglasses and I think I know what you were going to say at the end of your speech. Love You – Tony (P.S don't think we aren't having a conversation about that boy you talked to before class)"

Peter smiles at the text and quickly sends one back.

"I love you too!"
