As we ate lunch Vika and Mia got to know each other better and we all talked about a range of topics.

"Oh Mitya, we are a go for Sunday. But I have decided to make it a family dinner, where she will just be there and have her say. You may need all the help that you can get to keep me from strangling her. So instead of it being lunch, and you having to take off, it will be dinner. That way it won't interfere with any of your schedules."

"That's fine babe I understand."

"What are you talking about Roza?" Vika asked.

"Lissa has been texting and calling me wanting to talk. So, I have decided to do it as I just said. I think that she owes not only me an explanation, but she also owes Mitya, Mason, Eddie and Mia and explanation. Since she treated them all like dirt as well."

Everyone nodded.

"So, Rose, what are going to be some of my duties?" Mia asked.

"A little bit of everything until I can get more assistants. Taking and making phone calls, reading and writing e-mails and letters, keeping my calendar; work and personal. If I need to host any parties, dinners or anything you will need to help me plan them. Like I said just a variety of things."

"I understand. Will you want an electronic or paper calendar?"

"Both, just in case the electronic one dies for some reason or another we will have a backup paper copy."

She nodded again.

"Is there anything that you need me to do before Monday?"

"Not that I am aware of. Oh, just so you are aware, my grandmother does not like me standing or moving around much since my accident. So, if she ever asks, I am following the doctor's orders to the letter."

"You are following the doctor's orders to the letter my Roza."

Again, laughter filled the room.

"Yes, dear, I know that I am. But if for some reason I am ever not..."

"You won't ever not be." He gave me a pointed look.

"But I get tired of sitting around all the time."

He just smiled at me. "Baby, you don't nor do you have to just sit around all the time. Dr. Jenkins told you that getting a little exercise was healthy for both you and our children. Just not to overdo it."

"Yes, but just walking from here to her office she thinks I am overdoing it."

"She's worried baby. After your accident she has a right to worry."

I sighed. "I know you are right. But she is even more overprotective than you and baba are, which is a very difficult job to accomplish."

"I have always been overprotective of you, even before you were born. I will always be overprotective of our children and will continue to be overprotective of you until the day that I die."

"I know baby, I know. But you are not allowed to go off and leave me, we will go together or not at all." The other seven people in the room laughed at us.

"What kind of accident did you have Rose?" Mason asked me.

I sighed and laid my fork on my plate because I knew how they were all going to react to this little bit of information.

"The day before the intensives started; Mitya, baba, Pavel, Sergei and I were going to dinner. My mother just happened to see us, and she had a conniption fit. She started screaming and pulling on me, telling me that I couldn't be around Mitya or baba. And while she was pulling on me I stepped on a loose gravel which sent me falling to the ground."
