Chapter 15: The Mystery behind Science

Boruto POV

I woke out in the morning, and saw that I was on a bed in the hospital after I passed up when I was injured by a Rasengan. I saw bandages wrapped around my abdomen. I turned around and saw Sarada sleeping on a chair beside me. I tried to stand up but the pain in my stomach made me fell to the floor and accidentally wake her up.

"Hey, you not suppose to move too much yet." She said while placing me back at the bed.

"I need to defeat that guy."

"You can't go to a battle with this condition."

"I'm fine, I can take him by myself"

Sarada sigh and said, "You're really stubborn, aren't you?"

"Let me check your wound." Sarada said while getting closer.

"No, I'm fine. You don't need to." I said while have a slight blush on my face.

"No is not the answer." Sarada said while taking off my shirt.

I tried my best to not blush while she is examining my wound.

"Ehh, how??" Sarada said with curiosity.

"What's the matter, Sarada ??" I asked her.

"The surgery wound, it completely healed."

"I told ya. I'm fine." I said while sitting across the bed.

"Sooo, Sarada. Does the kid defeat him??" I asked her while putting back on my clothes.

Sarada silent for a while. "He said, the guy escaped. I don't know we can trust him or not."

Normal POV

Mitsuki and Sumire enter Boruto's room and saw Sarada already there.

"Found any new information about the guy?" Sarada asked them.

"No, but I interesting information." Sumire replied.

"What is it?" Boruto asked her with curiosity.

"During my investigation on the Ninja Scientific Tools Headquarter, I found out that, not single ninjutsu tool was sent here. Which means-"

Mitsuki cuts off Sumire's sentence, "That guy is not from here."

Sumire nodded.

"So we must report this to the Kazekage immediately." Sarada said to the team.

The team agreed and before they were about to get out from the room. Boruto stomach grumbled and can be heard by whole team.

"Hehe, maybe we should go on breakfast first. I hasn't eaten since last night." Boruto said while scratching his head.

-An hour later at the Kazekage's office-

"How was the search go?" Gaara asked the team.

"We still didn't get any clues about that guy. But, what we know is, that guy is a rogue ninja" Mitsuki explained.

"What makes you confident about that?" Gaara asked them again.

"Lord Kazekage, the guy seems using a highly technological ninja tool, even greater than our latest ninja tool." Sumire said to Gaara.

"Lord Kazekage, is there some potential suspect who might have interest in technological ninja tools?" Boruto asked him.

Gaara nodded and went to his folder shelf and grabbed a file.

"Chikara Shikā, an unknown shinobi. His birthplace is also unknown. He came here to join the Scientific Ninja Tool team. The team refused to recruit him because of his psycho and sadistic behavior. He believed to disappeared during the Otsutsuki Invasion." Gaara explained to the team.

Out of nowhere a Suna Jonin Ninja rushed into the office and said, "Lord Fifth! The Scientific Ninja Tools Research lab is under attack by the same man before."

"We must go now." Boruto said to his team. The team agreed and rushed to lab.

-At The Scientific Ninja Tools Research Lab-

Boruto and his squad arrived at lab only to be greeted by the same guy in the cloak.

"Ah, you here at last. I'm expecting you to come sooner." The man said to him.

"What do you want from the lab???" Boruto asked him.

"Ohh nothing, I just come here to get some spare parts." The guy replied.

"Now, let's finish our previous business shall we?" The man said before shooting them with water gun technique.

The team dodge the attack narrowly and almost got hit.

The man did hand sign and shouted.
Hidden in the Mist technique
A thick mist conceled the team reducing their visibility.

Mitsuki was about to use his wind style but was stopped by the man with his chakra chains.

"Uzumaki Chakra chains?? How is that possible?? Only Uzumaki Clan members can use that.", Sarada said in her thoughts. 

The man let out another scroll and shouted,
Wood Style: Wood Cage

Trapping Sumire inside an indestructable cage.

"Chikara, if only using your ninja tool. You never reach you real power potential." Boruto said to the man.

"Shut up!!! I dreams of having power by science instead of learning it. Soon, everyone will have equal power to one another. No more gap between the ninja and non-ninja." Chikara (the man in cloak) yelled to Boruto.

Sarada throws several Shurikens towards Chikara, and he dodge it as usual.

"You think that you could defeat me with such that attack??" Chikara said boastly.

Sarada smirked while saying, "I didn't intent to hit you." She said and pointing towards Chikara's right hand.

The ninja tool that was previously straped on his right hand was cutted by One of Sarada's shurikens.

Chikara just smirked by himself. "I may not use powerful jutsu anymore but  I can-

He tool off his cloak and reveal his face.

"Copy it"

Both Sarada and Boruto shocked to see Chikara's right eye.

"No way.

Sharingan.
